Also, I must be nuts and a bad HOLiC fan for being glad about knowing more about Kohane and her situation. Yeah, the suspense with Watanuki's secrets -as a consequence of the crossovers- is driving me mad, but getting a minor character's plot back in a CLAMP manga is remarkable, and better yet if it has backstory. I don't know, I like Kohane, I feel so sorry for her, I like that Watanuki sees her like the little sister he never had, and hope her story doesn't turn out in a huge tragedy.

Oh I'd fallen behind on HOLiC because I was not digging all the TRC crossover-ness much (I'm not a fan of TRC but I love HOLiC so...). I'm going to catch up right now.

I love Doumeki/Watanuki (although it's not zomg the reason I read it, not even close), but I think donuts is so one of the dumbest ship names ever. Also leave Himawari alone because she's awesome.

I'd still wait a couple of months until there's more resolution. So far there's no way to know WTF is going on and you'll get frustrated.

It's not about D/W itself that I was talking. Even if I don't ship it, more of canon for them is fine. It's just that I saw some girl in the spoiler page going all, and I quote:

I'm not surprised by the lameness because the KuroFay sector does that all the time (I mean, ignoring and bitching TRC chapters if there's no gay subtext or the characters aren't even there). But feeling down because the mangaka didn't cater to your taste on your birthday week rubbed me the wrong way. I wish she was kidding because it just sounded bratty. Especially since Kohane's status is relevant to both Doumeki and Watanuki's interests.

It is really sad D: And it makes the mother's motivation look even worse, if you ask me. At least Kohane's kind of fighting back.

No kidding. But I assume they knew there was a male love interest before they started reading. The fandom was tiny when the manga was just released, and scans for volume two took ages to be shared. I even remember going "Who IS that guy" when seeing the first Doumeki/Watanuki illustrations.
