It took me TWO HOURS to answer these
Ooh, I actually finished my lab practice last night :D That's pretty neat since I won't have to bang my head against the wall today with hurries.
I've been feeling like roleplaying more characters recently. The list includes Nakuru/Ruby from CCS, Akari from Aria, Sokka from Avatar. I think I prefer to do angst-free characters, or at least ones that handle their angst well. I'm all for issues, but not moping 24/7.
Also, this is so completely stupid, but I truly want to make and mod an Okami-only RP. But the thing is, people don't go for unifandom games lately. It's cool to play Waka in a multifandom, especially when others pick up characters from his canon, sure. But I want to see the quirky secondary/minor characters as well, people inventing fanon plots for them, and that would only happen in an unifandom. This is mostly because I so want to play Abe, erm.
But no one would join ;_; If CCS is a big fandom and
ccs_halfmagic can't get new people, imagine such an obscure thing...
1. Leave me a casual comment of no particular significance, like a lyric to your current favorite song, your favorite kind of sandwich, or maybe your favorite game. Any remark, meaningless or not.
2. I will respond by asking you five personal questions so I can get to know you better.
3. Update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
4. Include this explanation and offer to ask someone else in your own post.
5. When others respond with a desultory comment, you will ask them five questions.
Warning: I'll be slow to give out questions because I'm not even supposed to spend long times on the PC. Right ^^U
1. How/when did you get interested in gaming?
The funny thing is that I've never been a hardcore gamer XD But it doesn't mean I've become one right now, either. My childhood had videogames as an important part of distraction, particularly the Nintendo consoles. I guess, then, I could say I got first interested when my mom got an Atari when I was little. I was more active, however, during the SNES period.
Then, during my teenage years, I sort of dropped it because I knew no one in my school who was still into gaming and I felt silly. It went back during my last two years of high school when my brothers got a N64. Still, I lost the PS1 era and Sega's downfall. I never liked PC. I lost interest again when I moved to Spain. I regained it a bit with the Gamecube, but it went back down after a short time. I bought the PS2 in hopes of understanding Final Fantasy as a mass phenomenon, but failed.
Right now I'm back to the move because I've found games weird enough for me to enjoy. I think I go on and off when I can't find fun in gaming (ironically, when the PS2 is dying I discover gem games). I'm not one to play the trendy games or the popular console. No matter how hyped they are in the US, for instance, I wouldn't try anything from my brothers' XBOX360 collection: they're mostly shooters. I have a strange rhythm to pick games up.
2. What's your favourite from all the places where you've lived?
None. They all have problems. My home at Caracas I'd call home, but I couldn't go out to take a walk without feeling insecure. Things were expensive, life got even worse now. The rented apartment at Coruña had a great location, but it was awkward and cold. The apartment in Bastiagueiro I'm living currently in is surrounded by pretty beaches and nature, but I find it inconvenient and distant. There's also that problem with my mom's house at the suburbs: you need a car for everything. However, mom's place is prettier and relaxing and more homely, so I guess it's the closest thing so far, even if I don't quite live there.
3. Any fantasy world you'd love to get into, or are you the I'm-glad-I'm-just-reading (or watching/playing/etc) kind?
Glad to be reading. All my fandom's worlds are fucking dangerous for a clumsy geeky girl with no special talents D: I'd be somebody's food before I could enjoy it.
4. If you could change one thing from Tsubasa's plot, what would it be?
ONE? XDDDDDD It's not really changing something, but I'd make sure TRC never gets intertwined with the CCS plot. Even if the Clow-cola ends up not too fucked up, I don't want the fanbrats from the fandom reading CCS just to get TRC's plot, and having this new influx of T/Y shippers bashing the crap out of Kaho, Nakuru, or even Sakura and Li.
(I'd stop the limb payment system, or at least null the latest "D00d I cuts mah arm I'm hardcore/O RLY? I payede mah other eye 4 U 2 LOL!" since it's made of lame now. Because if I say something about the angstbulance I'll get mauled or featured on
clamp_rants)
5. What would your dream vacation be like? Pretend money/time/etc aren't a problem.
I'd take a tour for different cities from different countries. I'm too much of a Gemini to pick just one place or one continent. I'd choose September so I wouldn't die dead of cold or dehydrate of heat.
1. Would you rather have a larger fandom for Okami, or a second game?
Not a second game. Sequels for decent/great games are rarely as good -even if I'm enjoying KH2 better and the first PW is my least favorite one, LOL hypocrite much-, and I think it would be hard to top. But it's mostly because it's CAPCOM, the lords of WTFsequels only topped by Squeenix. There's also the fact that they never let Kamiya to participate in any sequel of any cool game he's directed (not that it matters anymore since he doesn't work for them, but yeah).
And even with this disgust with the idea of a sequel, I still think the idea of a prequel story where you play as Shiranui to be awesome. Besides, I seem to recall Ishaku's voice to be less whiny, which is a plus.Or since they can make stupid games about the Turks, and stupid TV shows about Torchwood, why not a stupid spinoff game for Tao Troopers? :DDDD
But yeah, I'd much rather to have more fans.
2. How long have you gamed for? What was your first system, and your favorite game as a kid?
I replied to a part of that before XDDD The first one I had was an Atari, but I can't recall if it was a 2600 or a 5200. Then I owned practically every Nintendo one out there, my favorites being SNES, N64 and NDS; never touched a Sega, didn't buy a Sony one until PS2 two years ago.
For NES, my favorite was Mario 3.I'm surprised now that he didn't end up as a furry. With SNES, I think I wasted the most time between Super Mario World, Street Fighter II, and Mario Paint (trufax: when I got my first PC, I wasn't the kind of kid to draw crap on MSPaint, mostly because I thought it sucked balls compared to my quality time on Mario Paint. there were no stamps? no animation? no music? fuck that shit, I'll go write emo rants on MSWord with Comic Sans font and play minesweeper and download photos of DiCaprio). If you consider 16 to be a kid, then Ocarina of Time is my top childhood favorite ever.
3. Zap one annoying fandom theory. Explain.
OMG REAL!SYAORAN IS LI SYAORAN FROM CCS. It makes no sense! The ages clash! It creates time paradoxes! WTF is that all about!
Although any fan theory regarding r!Syaoran's relation to Watanuki gets on my nerves, too.
And it's not a fandom theory, but I'd kill with a fire the strange assumption that Waka (and Kaguya) is a Celestial. I've argued this shit at least twice, with pictures and game quotes. It's even on the Wikipedia as a fact, what the hell!!
4. Who out-prophesizes who: Waka or Clow? How much time would Waka and Clow be able to spend together before Ammy and Yuuko go insane and lock them in separate cages in separate dimensions?
We've actually tested this in an RP setting, but our Yuuko and Ammy are way too passive to give a shit *snaps fingers* But really, I think it wouldn't happen because the guys are more cunning the girls give them credit for. Waka bribes Yuuko with the strongest sake Kushi has brewed. Clow cooks Ammy some cherry cakes and sics The Flower on her as a distraction. So I think they probably would leave the friendship alone because it's relevant to their interests.
Clow out-prophesizes, of course. If he had to flee from an apocalyptic world, he knew exactly which ships have demons sealed on them, and would weave a more complicated plan to get rid of them other than "let's push the sun goddess to do that with reverse psychology and tl;dr". Ahem.
5. Pick a superpower: ability to create matter or ability to pass through time.
I choose creating matter. Time traveling gives too many headaches.

2.- Once again- You can erase a dumbass opinion from fandom. What do you erase?
Hahaha, I got this asked twice XDDD See above.
3.- What's the most popular opinion that you share with any of your fandoms? Like, is there any time you go 'oh god, I sound like such a fanbrat'?
There are several fandoms in which I like the main het couples, and it feels so odd to see thirteen year-olds, sometimes homophobes, into it as well or rubbing the canonness on people's faces. Or people dissing me as a shipper because they think I behave like that. Funny enough, when I like these fanbratty ships, they are rarely popular in fanfics/fanarts, or it happens in a fandom where alternative shipping or character whoring are larger and nobody gives a damn. My favorite slash pairings are rarely main characters and/or they're underrated ships, so it doesn't happen that often with the gay.
Also, I feel really weird when my favorite male character is really pretty in bishounen cliché ways. I choose favs over personality, but I keep wondering how many people will think I'm into them because they're shiny. I mean yeah, it's a bonus, but it makes me feel bad when I'm either fangirling them for whatever reason or actually finding them attractive. Especially when they're blond, since I had a thing for blondies when I was 15.
4.- Who do you live with?
Right now, with my grandma and uncle. But I stop by my mom's more or less frequently.
5.- What character do you like writing the most and why?
Even today, when I don't write in the fandom as often, I still feel all happy when I write Eriol and his group. Then again, I've been drabbling on him for ages. CCS!Touya and Watanuki are extremely comfortable to me, and their reactions are fun to come up with. For the non-CLAMP specter, Ushiwaka from Okami invades my plotholes way too much. I don't really write him as often in fanfic because I'm intimidated, but as RP character he's fun.

Yay for Gemini's :)
But yeah my answer would probably be the same. There are too many great places to choose only one.
