The LiveJournal Survey!

ABOUT YOU / YOUR JOURNAL

What is your LiveJournal username? How did you come up with it?
Ame Warashi is a minor character from XXXHOLiC. Literally, it means something like "rain girl" or "rain spirit". It's not only that she's pretty cool, and as grumpy as I am, but also that it fits my Internet nickname (Kirisame = drizzle). I kind of wanted a character name because I'm that lame.

Have you renamed before? If so, what were your old names? If you haven't renamed, what names would you want to rename to?
I renamed once: I was hiragizawa.

How much does your userinfo say about you?
I think it's a nice summary. Together with interests, that is.

How long have you been on LiveJournal?
Since October 2003.

What is the longest amount of time you've gone without posting?
It should be the time I moved in to Bastiagueiro, since we had no Internet for several days. It was AWFUL. I even had a txt file to "post entries" because I was bored.

On average, how many entries do you post per day? (Divide how many total entries you have by how many days you've been on LJ.)
...Dude, I don't plan to count my total days. I guess it'd be around 1-2 a day.

What are your posts normally about?
Fandoms and memes, I guess. Occasional real life crap, but not too much.

Is your LiveJournal friends only? Why or why not?
No, because I have nothing to hide and so far my family hasn't peeked yet.

Does your LiveJournal have an actual title or are you merely USER @ LiveJournal?
"Aqueous Transmission". It's an Incubus song I've always liked a lot. Besides, it fits the watery theme.

How long do you see yourself staying on LiveJournal?
Probably long. I'm too comfy here.

ABOUT YOUR FRIENDSLIST

How many people are on your friendslist, not counting private journals, media journals, etc?
62, also subtracting dead accounts.

Why do you choose to add a person to your friendslist?
Well, I'm not sure. Most people who've been for a long time I've met in other friends' posts and after long threads I've added them back. Sometimes I go through friending memes and try to give people who are interested a chance (or I try to approach others, but that's more rare). Sometimes I friend back a specific lurker all ninja. But these days, I don't know how it works. I used to be really anal about it and only friend a lurker if they were extremely agreeable with my characters/ships: now I know it was childish and petty. I think I was too egotistic and wanky a few years ago.

Is your friendslist an actual list of people you consider friends, or more of a reading list?
Both.

How often do you read your friendslist?
Several times a day.

Do you use filters when viewing your friendslist?
I do have two or three filters, particularly for types of communities, but I always forget to use them. I don't filter people, though: people filters are for private posts I only want close friends to read.

How much do you talk to people on your friendslist off of LiveJournal?
I talk to some of them via IMs or IRC or at non-LJ RPs. I met [livejournal.com profile] inouekun twice or thrice IRL.

Do you do friendscuts? Why or why not?
It's been ages since I last did one. I probably should do it one of these days.

Do you regularly participate in friending memes? If not, how do you normally find people to friend?
I normally feel too shy to contact the cool-looking people or the ones with common interests. Even though I think we might have things in common, they could always disagree or friend me out of pity. So usually I just leave my comment and wait for others to poke me. In the last couple of times? It didn't work. I think I'm becoming lamer.

How often do you add new friends to your friendslist?
It depends.

Do your friends have to have things in common with you?
I really prefer so. I mean, at least two or three fandoms.

ABOUT YOUR ICONS / USERPICS

How many userpics do you get maximum? How many of those slots do you actually use?
88/115

Do you mostly use icons made by yourself or by others?
I used to have only icons by myself, but since it's been ages since I last made one, now I'm using mostly pretties by others.

Do you have your own icon community? How often do you post in it?
[livejournal.com profile] icondork. It's kind of asleep now, though.

What fandoms are most frequently seen in your userpics?
CLAMP. There are a good quantity of FMA, One Piece, Okami, Avatar, and recently Ace Attorney.

How do you find icons to use?
In communities x-posts. I think I rarely friend other people's icon journals.

How often do you upload new icons to use in your userpics?
When I find/make ones I like. For instance, I uploaded two today.

Which of your userpics do you use the most?

Which of your userpics do you like the most?

The last one is new :3

The old minimum number of userpics was three. Could you see yourself "surviving" on three userpics now?
HELL NO. I'm spoiled rotten.

What do your userpics say about you?
That I like weird shit, minor characters, and have a strange sense of humor.

ABOUT YOUR FANDOMS

How many fandom communities are you a part of?
I'm willing to bet that the 151 communities I'm a member of are, in a way or another, related to fandom. Or I'm just lazy to check.

Do you join fanfic or icon communities or only the general communities?
I join icon comms, although I only keep the favorite ones (or the fandom I'm too into that day) on my flist. Now, fanfic comms, it depends of the fandom and/or pairing, but I am a member of some.

How many fandom communities do you moderate?
Right now only [livejournal.com profile] xing_empire, and it's dead.

How often do you check fandom communities for new posts?
I have most of them on the flist, so that means every day.

Do you contribute to fandom? If so, by way of what?
I used to make icons, although I want to go back to that. I have a couple of websites and fanlistings, but that's not exactly LJ-related. For some fandoms I write fanfic, usually for cardholicverse and Okami.

Which fandoms are you most active in?
I guess you could say the CLAMP fandoms. I'd say Okami if there WAS a fandom.

What do your choice of fandoms say about you?
That I love paranormal things, magic, and mythology. At least 80% of my fandoms or more have those elements. That I like quirky videogames and interesting anime/manga and comedy TV. Basically, that I try to escape reality with my fiction by reading/watching/playing unrealistic things.

Do you make friends based on fandom?
That's how I make them, most times.

Have you ever read (or been featured on) fandom_wank?
...Yes and yes.

What is one thing you wish you could change about fandom?
There are a lot of annoying things, like the weaboos and character bashing and rabid yaoi/yuri/het factions and sockpuppeting. But what I'd really want to change, given the chance, is that people would stop overlooking awesome minor characters and make more fanworks about them (apart from the random crack pairing porn, that is). I do get the appeal of main characters, and I do love them frequently, but others need the love as well.

Wow I just realized your numbers look all cool and funky. How did you do that?

On another note I really like your taste in things. You like a lot of things that are different from the norm which I think is really cool.

It was the one who started the meme ([livejournal.com profile] levels) who did the number thing ^^ Just copy-paste it and that's it.

Thanks :D Your taste is pretty neat to me too, but then again we do coincide in several fandoms.

Wiii, me diverti mucho leyendo tu meme, y no se tu, pero yo creo que te estas haciendo mas 'sociable' poco a poco =O (No digo que fueras antisocial pero.. tu me entiendes ^^;)

Tu ultima respuesta: WORD. Secondary characters need more love! Si no fuera tan floja ya abria hecho mi comunidad o algo.

Ah! Y tu nuevo icon de Kurogane = ♥ I support that motion! x3

Pues yo siento que cada vez me hago MÁS antisocial, not the other way around.
