My thoughts on ya-- on Edgeworth
Regarding Gyakuten Kenji.
- On one hand, and the first reaction I had? Edgeworth *rolleyes* Okay, I know I'm in the minority as one of the fans who's most usually meh and occasionally ugh at Miles as a character, and I hate feeling like that because you guys love this puddle of angsty awkwardness and frill so much. I do like him once in a full moon, however, and that brings the next bullet point.
+ On the other hand, that part in Trials and Tribulations where you play as Miles? I HAD HONEST FUN. I DID LIKE HIM A LOT THERE. I enjoyed the inner monologue and the sarcasm. So just because it's Edgeworth doesn't mean I'll be cringing at the whole game and clinging at Gumshoe for the lulz. So there's entertainment value even for me, that cynical heathen who doesn't fangirl Miles.
- On the one hand, I can't get over the English title. Okay, yeah, alliteration to match "Ace Attorney". But my brain goes all meta because really, what is a Perfect Prosecutor, and what does this mean in this game? Is it the Von Karma approach: win every time and have a flawless record? Is it the Klavier approach: just go for the truth even if that means convicting someone else and give the defense their point? And the thing is, it's more likely the game is in a timeline in which Edgeworth is hanging on his Von Karma phase. But either way, this is meta babble, and it doesn't help that I've been roleplaying as Herr Gavin these days so I have the discussions about winning vs. truth seeking way too fresh.
+ On the other, the full body sprites are cute and old school and I approve because I love that kind of sprites. They're way cool, even for Edgeworth. *is again a heathen because she never found him that hot* Hopefully, I'll never ever have to see this horrifying facial expression in this game even if he gets to wangst. I actually cringe IRL when he does that stupid face. /pet peeve
+ Besides, for the geek factor, playing from the prosecution and detective POV this time is just so neat! I want to know how different the procedures are. I want to see the whole logical patterns when you act as the prosecution. Of course, there's also the fact I AM roleplaying as a prosecutor myself, and that I've been tempted to write genfic about AJ, and this game might provide me a better understanding on those things. Maybe.
- I'm still a bit bummed it's not an Ema-centric game as some people were theorizing (I want to dust and spray the shit out of things!) since that could be the coolest sidegame ever for me. But yeah, I suppose they had to make it up tothe fangirls Edgeworth and Gumshoe for their recent lack of new canon.
Either way, the concept is way cool and I will be playing itemulated as soon as it comes out in English. Even if it is Edgeworth.

Los juegos de DS sí que lo son, son region free como los DVDs zona 0. Si fuese para consolas de sobremesa ya no, pero T&T lo puedes importar con confianza porque se juegan en toda DS. Es más, hasta puedes jugar juegos japoneses en una europea.

...No sé por qué coño me obsesioné con AJ más que con los PW. Los casos no son tan buenos y crack como en los otros juegos, y hacen falta mogollón de gente del canon anterior. A mí se me hizo divertido, pero te aconsejo que te lo tomes un poco como si fuese un mundo alterno como Tsubasa para que no te pegue mucho. Debe ser el pedazo de crush que tengo por el prosecutor de esta vez o algo, aunque el resto del cast nuevo se me hace muy cute. Go figure.

Y el tandem Edgeworth-Gumshoe en T&T me encantó porque eran la cosa más dork que he visto nunca, ni Phoenix-Maya o Apollo-Trucy consiguieron levantar el nivel de lolz en mi que ellos.

Miles + Gumshoe ES la hostia :D Como dije, a mí me moló demasiado jugar con Edgeworth en T&T con todo y que era Edgeworth. Sus monólogos eran geniales, y creo que concluí que lo que me desagrada de él es pre-juego 2 o algo. Cuando el emo en su historia se ajusta a niveles más comunes, me cae bien.
