B-but they keep retconing the basics over and over. Not that it was set in stone, but dammit. What was the first thing they drilled in our heads? That families can be different between dimensions (and they still can: Kamui and Subaru). It just feels like they're doing this just to... rizar el rizo.
Yeah, that's true... But we also started the series with "Sakura" who was still "Touya"'s sister and who was also the daughter of Clow? It doesn't seem so bad for the AU!Kinomotos to stay the same, at least. I know what you mean, though. But it'd bug me more if, say, they told us that Subaru and Kamui aren't twins and that he's really Hokuto's brother. ... I'm not exactly sure why it would bug me more, but it would.
But I don't like this at all. It's not the OMGITISINCESTOMG because I don't ship it anyway, but... I just can't imagine a version of Fujitaka who's the king, and archeologist!Fuji was the cutest thing ever.
I mean sure, it's cute F/N gets to be interdimensional OTP and all, but the TWIST!1! still bugs me irrationally.
And we'll agree to disagree since I would've preferred Hokuto to be the twin vampire.
OH I definitely agree with that XD It's so odd to think of Fujitaka as a King. Being a dorky archeologist is much more fitting for him.
But then it doesn't matter so much, does it? Afterall, the time got rewinded and they switched places. For all it matters, Fujitaka being the archeologist is what it ended up being. I-if that makes sense at all.
It's cute, AND we get alive!Nadeshiko, at least for a while. And we get to see her interact with Sakura, which is even moar awesome.
