Quick clandestine post

My thoughts on yesterday and today's Avatar episodes tomorrow. Some quickies:

1. Bought The World Ends With You on second hand at Game. And as long as the autoplay for the top screen is on, I'm doing fine -about to start day three. Not taking this game seriously, however, since it's Squeenix and Nomura. Besides, Neku and Shiki's character designs are just painful to look at. It's fun to poke and slash at shit with the stylus, so I'll just ignore it. But dayum, and you thought CLAMP characters were anorexic-skinny!

2. Slayers Revolution #3 in two words: LOL JELLYFISH.

3. Suddenly, this week I'm seeing Neil Patrick Harris everywhere. Well, no, only I started How I Met Your Mother and I keep hearing about this Doctor Horrible stuff. But still, weird universe is weird.

4. How did I not see this piece of pure awesomeness before? *_* Apollo Justice characters... wait for it... drawn as Okami characters! ♥ I'm mesmerized by Trucy's hat (so fitting!) and Ema's big drawer of medicines chemicals. ...Thank God Klavier doesn't look that much like Ushiwaka, or I would've needed years of therapy.

SPEAKING OF OKAMI. I finally got my hands on it about a week ago. Obviously I've hard to start over because I'd been playing on a friend's console so far, but my sister and I have been playing a lot. \o/ We're running around Ryoshima Coast right now.

Woah, crazy progress! :D How did you find the fight with Orochi? And Susano and Kushi?

We went so fast because she was on vacations and I had a slow week at work, but we'll probably slow down a lot from now on, heh. (Meanwhile, I'm playing a second game to fool around and go on sidequests and stuff while she's too busy, but I'm only up to Taka Pass in that one.)

My sister took care of Orochi. I just watched. XD And Susano and Kushi are SO adorable! ♥ Also, Kushi is seriously awesome.

Kushi is AMAZING. And Susano deserves so much respect for confronting Orochi like that -I like it when total cowards or people who were cowards for most things save the day.

Mind you, what it's amazing about Okami is that female characters get to be awesome and strong without touching a fucking weapon (not including Ammy). Probably some feminists would be annoyed by the lack of a bushi woman kicking ass like the guys (...debatable, though, since those male dorks with swords aren't kicking ass that much to me), but I think it's more refreshing this way. Women are the ones with the clever ideas and pacific solutions in Okami, and that's lovely.

YES. And I really respect that even though he wasn't naturally brave, his line of thought was "all right, I screwed up, now I have to fix that".

... also, I didn't advance any further yet. D: I don't want to advance the game I was playing with my sister because wants to see the whole story too, obviously, so I've been fooling around with the other game but I haven't caught up yet. I'll let you know when I've seen more stuff, though. Probably in big posts full of SQUEE. XD
