1. The moral of the story, kids. Don't EVER install something in Mininova that has no feedback yet. I've spent part of my night and all of my morning reformatting and reinstalling shit on the laptop because it was getting frustrating to get the malware/troyan combo gone. Since I had just reformatted the computer and there wasn't a lot to install again because I had been lazy to do so, I figured I could afford to do it all dumbfail.

It was still made of annoying to reinstall all my Firefox addons again when I did it less than a week ago.

2. NOOOOOOO, FRINGS ;; BASTARDS! Bad game, bad! *hits with a rolled newspaper* Like the old mechanics wasn't bad enough. S-sob poor Cecille.

On the other hand, after Symphonia, I suppose that the fact this time a minor guy got killed is sort of refreshing. I was a bit creeped out when I noticed the amount of dead minor women, augh. Not that men didn't get killed in ToS, but most of the time it was a woman.

3. I'm still dealing with the beginnings of my annual seasonal-lack-of-light fall/winter depression, but that's something boring to talk about anyway.

I got a horrific trojan from hell trying to download photoshop cs3. I thought we were going to have to set the damn thing on fire. We had even scanned it first before installing, but it still turned out to be a trojan and the scanner just didn't pick up on it. Apparently, almost all copies of PS you find online are actually trojans. WTF. How the hell are people supposed to be evil amoral software pirates these days.

UGH UGH THAT SUCKS! Thanks for the warning, because if it weren't for my tiny RAM size I'd be looking for a copy and going through this crap again. I guess I'll stick to my CS1 for the moment.

But the amazing part was, this troyan that infected me last night came with fucking WINRAR. Like, the installation file was less than 2MB, WTF!

Well, there ARE clean copies - we eventually found one - but the only way to ensure they're clean is to do something elaborate like we did. (Dave like, started up this windows emulator on his linux box, so that he could instantly kill it (and everything on it) if the file proved infected. Which. Several of them did until we found a clean one.)

Winrar? You can get that on the winrar site safely (although if you don't want the obnoxious pop up box telling you to pay for every time you use it, I can't help you there. XD)

Yeah, I was looking for a cracked version to get rid of it :( But in the end, ironically, I just remembered this morning I had an old copy with a crack in the same CD I had my Photoshop installer. That shows I can't think properly at 2:00 am and thus shouldn't do anything to my computer past midnight. Kind of like feeding Gremlins, in a way.

This is funny, because for a while I couldn't find something I wanted to ship in those games at all. I'd have my pseudocracky pairings, like Lana/Mia or Angel Starr/Jake Marshall, but nothing, you know, with any remote canon evidence/subtext.

Phoenix/Miles never called my attention. OKAY, YEAH. I see the pairing, because you'd have to be BLIND not to, and if this were CLAMP this would even be considered canon and Edgey would be missing an eye (and the eyeball would be used as evidence in court). But I never wanted to ship it, partly because of the fact I didn't get to remotely like Edgeworth until the third game. And I don't ship Phoenix with anyone, either.

also, I've stumbled into some P/E nutjobs that keep bashing anything that isn't teh ghey or the part of canon they're into, thus ruining the paiting for me

But then, in T&T, I found two couples I liked: Desiree/Ron and Diego/Mia. I also thought Gumshoe's crush on Maggey was cute. Does the fact I ship canon het in the gay lawyers fandom mean I'm doing it wrong?

In Apollo Justice I really love the idea of Klavier/Ema because it'd be so snarky and I love that, but it seems no one can get them IC in fanworks. Which saddens me as they're my second favorite pairing in the franchise.

Rurouni Kenshin

I did started watching it because the Kenshin/Kaoru on episode one attracted my teen self like whoa XD; Then I saw the cool swordfighting and it wasn't just about K/K or my stupid crush on Kenshin. But I still shipped it like FedEx and wasn't at all surprised when it was suddenly as canon as it could be in a shounen anime. The scene with the fireflies was so beautiful sajhajhd. I was happy they had a happy ending in the manga. (the last 2 OVAs? never happened /denial)

I dislike that people assume that if you like one canon Kenshin pairing you must hate the other, because I LOVE KENSHIN/TOMOE, TOO. They made me cry. It was the first time I cried over anime! The pairing was heartbreaking and I liked it a whole lot. It's one of those rare cases where I don't exclusively "OTP" a character, I honestly ship both pairings.

I really liked Sanosuke/Megumi in all their snarky glory. However, and this is where my flist kills me, I never saw the appeal of Aoshi/Misao because I can't see Aoshi returning her feelings any time soon (he feels so asexual to me). I also have a crack pairing: Soujirou/Kamatari! I wonder if it exists. ^ponders about making a F!S secret, but... now it's not a secret*

Oh, and I never saw any BL/yaoi subtext until I saw people slashing on the Internet. Then again, before EVA my gaydar was broken.

I LIKE BOTH SHIPS TOO. And I shipped K/K so much ajfkdsjgksagkj. I literally ran to the comic store to buy the OVAs just because I saw a shippy scene from it on TV. And god the scene with the fireflies makes me bawl.

ALSO I don't get why the hell you can't like both pairings. I mean, it's not like InuYasha/Kagome vs InuYasha/Kikyou, Tomoe died and stayed DEAD so who the hell cares if YEARS later Kenshin found a new love? What, was he supposed to mourn Tomoe forever and be miserable the rest of his days? It's not like he didn't carry tons of angst and guilt because of her already, and it's not like he was all OH HAY NEW GIRL. FUCK TOMOE, I'LL NEVER THINK OF HER AGAIN or anything akjfdsajkg.

I liked Sano/Megumi too 8D B-but I do ship Misao/Aoshi as well. And Saitou/Sanosuke, since you mentioned slash (RK is actually the reason why I first began thinking about slash, a friend mentioned having found smut pics of Kenshin and I was like "DO WANT" and she said they happened to include Aoshi and I was like "... what." but then I realized I didn't care cause it was still Kenshin and uhhh then I started searching online and the rest is history? ... She never showed me those pics though ;A;)

To be fair, while I can see and sometimes like some of the pairings my flist has, I don't ship Strawhats (Usopp/Kaya is adorable, though). And particularly, the Zoro/Sanji shippers I've seen freak me out a bit and turned me off that pairing.

My ships are all minor characters and don't get in the way of plot. We have Kohza/Vivi, which I adore. And I was one of those joking about Coby/Helmeppo, but as time passed it made EVEN MORE SENSE so now I ship it sort of seriously! Oh, and when it comes to adults Smoker/Hina is sexy and snarky. And, uh, I like Chaka/Pell.

I don't see the Aoshi/Misao, too. Well, it could be kind of canon at the end, but still... he's so SO boring (and asexual, yes xD). I love Misao's character, but if she ended up with a man like him... =/. Anyway, I'm not very fond of Aoshi (he's a little bit totally overrated, I think).

Exactly! AND MIND YOU, IT HAPPENS IRL. People get to be widowers, mourn, move on, find love. IT'S NORMAL to move on without forgetting the other. And the other one doesn't even have to die, either, just... break up and leave far away. Kenshin wasn't even trying to find a new person to fuck on purpose like some horny widowers/divorcees either, mind you. Kind of reminds me that I did like Fujitaka/Sonomi until the F/S shippers started bashing Nadeshiko and F/N + S/N in this "you can't only ship one!!1!" way. Turned me off so fucking much.

Totally not alone in this! Most people I've gotten into checking out AJ because of my RP agree on that. I guessed it's more a pairing for the pretty or just wanting to fap to something next-gen gay lawyers now that Edgeworth is MIA? But then again, P/E is just blatant and can't be compared to any other ship in their canon, period.

I like Aoshi as a warrior (his fight with Ge'in the puppeteer was amazing), and I like his relationship with the now-dead members of Oniwabanshuu a whole lot, but I can see why you'd find him overrated/emo/boring. I feel lonely in the fact that Saitou didn't impress me that much when everyone but me love him (I mean yeah, he's still badass, but not my cuppa).

And it was never sunk! Their plotlines are open enough for a fanfic writer to try out, but I doubt I could write anything that's not a one-shot (or Soujirou, for that matter)

My first ship was Ed/Winry. They just hit a lot of my buttons (childhood friend, snark, domestic violence) and Winry is just so cute -and now hot. The next one, my OTP, is Ling/Lan Fan: it was another button pushed (royalty/right-hand commoner, mask kink) but mostly it was her devotion and the fact they looked good together. The funny thing about Royai is that everyone in my flist is into them, and if it were other fandom it'd be one of my top ones, but here I don't exactly ship it (I'm not sure whether I should blame Ling/Lan for being similar and me feeling redundant about shipping both, or the retards who whine when there's no Roy and/or Hawkeye every month). Al/Mei is adorable and like it lots.

Oh, and I ship all married couples, especially Trisha/Hohenheim and Izumi/Sieg ♥
