No further thoughts, except no hints of following the multidimensional trainwreck that was the movie ending. If it's an indicative, then we'll have rehatch.



But what made my day was the teaser for the next episode of Tales of the Abyss. KETERBURG FTW! And flashbacks! Also, Nephry is gorgeous!


No wonder Peony would hit it. (And most likely did.) She's really hot.


And was adorable as a little girl.



Jade, no so much. More on the creepy department. Which is what we've been told, anyway.

I have a feeling the new anime will be based on the manga. Still not sure what I feel about it. I mean it might be nice to see the manga animated correctly but at the same time I was happy with anime and manga being separate. Having two separate anime series will be odd.

I know what you mean. What I liked about the manga subfandom was that it was smaller and more relaxed (and now so relaxed it's kind of dead, but either way, we're just spreading to other fandoms now and these things happen). It was sort of indie, we had our own characters and characterization, our own plots, but lacking the early days' wank. I hope we won't get more of that or trolls. I foresee lots of confused noobs getting both anime series mixed up.

Yeah I imagine a lot of wanky arguments about what is more canon and more arguments over what is better. :(

Although one good thing about an anime based on the manga is more manga merchandise. Like maybe Xing character action figures. That would be pretty awesome.

I think there are already things like that, but anime vs. manga. We just don't see them often because they're not allowed on the LJ manga comm, but in forums and stuff there's gotta be a lot of that. Or used to be, when the fandom was more active.

I wonder if that's the case. Some of my fandoms, when animated, got really shitty merchandising I never plan to buy because it was so ugly. Hell, at least half of the FMA anime merch is actually ugly already.

The part about having two animated series one more closely based in the manga made me think of Hellsing. I don't know how the fandom is like regarding confused n00bs --I stay as far from any fandom as possible ;_;-- but now I want to go look. o:

I'm dying to get to the Xing characters animanted :D We never got to have those.

Well, I doubt Hellsing fandom can be wankier than FMA fandom. I'm curious now, however.

I... I'll wait before getting excited. It means nothing to me if they look good on screen but were turned into pods like they did with some characters in the first anime. *is still a bit bitter about Izumi*
