My Neighbour Totoro (THE CUTE IT BURNS), Porco Rosso and especially Whisper of the Heart are some of my favourite Ghibli films. Satoshi Kon's Millennium Actress is just AMAZING, imo. It's my favourite by him, next goes Perfect Blue, but that one I wouldn't recommend to you (lol mindfuck).

I think Horton Hears a Who! may be too recent to be on that list, but IT IS AWESOME ♥

Toy Story 2... it's just weird since it's the only Pixar (besides shorts) I haven't watched D: They have it on my faculty's library, so I'll pick it up.

Eh, I have no idea about Wallace and Gromit in general. I tend to... just blank when I watch anything from them. Not my thing, I guess.

I've been really determined to watch as many Ghibli movies as possible, and yet I haven't got to those, boo D: Satoshi Kon movies have been on my list since forever.

Mmmm, sadness in a good amount I don't mind. It's the excess or crude realism what turns me off. Not that I love extremely happy endings either, or that Disney's are always "happily ever after".

But from what little I heard, his stories are either sci-fi or contemporary. As I'm not that high on both genres, the summaries don't draw me. It's a pity.

I think Five Centimetres per Second is pretty normal, I don't remember it being particular sci-fi, not as much as Hoshi no Koe anyway, but the movies separated into three parts and I cried in each of them so I guess it's a little high on the Sadness Scale =P

Not only have I watched: I stroke-through it and if I could I'd do it twice! :o However, I didn't cry mostly because I never connected with the characters and spent the whole screening kind of grossed out. My eyes itched a bit out of pity of that death, but I didn't cry since it was too over the top. (If it helps, I rarely cry on movies)

Like I said, contemporary, normal movies... kind of bored me.
