Yamazaki's (the director) original plan was moving the stage outside of the court, game players can investigate crime scenes and deduce as a detective, and the main character was supposed to be Ema Skye. However, Eshiro (the producer) vetoed his plan, because at the first sight he read the plan, Edgeworth jumped into his mind.

IDK. They're planning to make more Gyakuten Kenji (prosecutor) games, and they'll be working on Gyakuten Saiban (ace attorney) 5 in parallel. They wouldn't have the time for yet another spin-off. The more I could get is a GK with Klavier as the main character and Ema as a sidekick, but they're too much in love with Edgey and the previous prosecutors for it to happen soon.

I've been dreaming about a game starring Ema for months. I would've been a happier person if I had never known how close I was to have it!

The producer preferred cravats over science. Quite disappointing.

I'm really fond of Miles and I really really love him, but a game with Ema as main character would have won everything. What a pity =/

Now I wonder, does he simply have the hots for Miles (I mean, the amount of images/merchandising with him was still high even during GS4 time and afterwards, CAPCOM loves to milk him) or did they come to the conclusion that Edgeworth/Mitsurugi would sell so much better (which is sadly true)?

This makes me several kinds of upset because when they were being cryptic about Gyakuten NOT Saiban, I daydreamed a lot about a forensic spin-off with Ema/Akane. I'm sad I was soooo close to have it! D:

I think the second option is probably the reason he got a game =/. Edgey-poo has loads of fangirls (even in canon XD), which equals lots of money. Capcom is fond of favoritism towards some of their characters (in some way, it's similar to what happens in the Resident Evil/Biohazard series, more or less).

He deserves his own game, why not; but... an Ema game... I wish you have had some mind link with Capcom and they have listened to you ;___;

But at least she's in the game, which is something I couldn't have expected even in my best dreams.

Well, teen Ema IS several kinds of adorable, but adult Ema after the timeskip is one bitter woman. A hot, scientific woman, but bitter nonetheless. And I love her a lot in her two versions.
