Happy Wise Men day for those who celebrate it. Oh, and ask me stuff at formspring.

I think I like the Phantom Hourglass manga more than the game. And I'm not only saying it because of the lack of Augh Fucking Ocean King's Temple Augh. Linebeck's backstory in the manga is pretty cool. Plus LOL at the mangaka shipping Jolene/Linebeck. She's also cool in the manga plot, even if it's in a tsundere way.

It kind of makes me want to retake my file. Then I remember the fucking temple and shake my head in disgust. Hey, is Spirit Tracks much better than Phantom Hourglass? I doubt I could buy it any time soon, but I'm curious. *stares at all those half-played Zelda games and winces*

Aaaaaaah so not looking forward to tomorrow. It's going shopping with mom AND going to the hospital for my grandma's operation. Double boredom ahoy.

Actually, I got Spirit Tracks for Reyes :D Aside from the NEVER ENDING TEMPLE OF DOOM I enjoyed Phantom Hourglass, so I expect to have a good time with this one. I've heard there's no dungeon you have to go back 8937292347 times to this time, so it should be good.

Right now I'm playing Layton and I have one unfinished Dragon Quest, so I don't think I'll be starting it anytime soon...

The reason why Ocean King's Temple is so annoying to me isn't because one goes there one million times, but that stupid time limit. I like to take things my own pace. This is also why I never replayed Majora's Mask, even though it's a pretty good game.

Oh man, I still have to finish the first Layton. I have to be in a certain mood and have pen and paper at hand and internet connection to cheat, when I'm desperate to tackle the puzzles.

Oh yeah, I also hate time limits. They give me an ulcer :( I ended up enjoying Phantom Hourglass, but I would never replay it in a million years.

I think the best part of Layton 2 is that you have a notes function so you can write stuff while doing the puzzles. I don't think the first game had it (or maybe I don't remember) and it's really useful.

And dude, WTF is with 103's incomplete camrip :o I get the feeling the entire thing won't appear until the 10th at least; it's way too soon.

[identity profile] hamsterfactor.livejournal.com 2010-01-06 03:44 pm (UTC)(link)
IT IS TOO SOON WTF. I took a look at it and I don't think it's incomplete...? Maybe it's just a short chapter (we've had those before). Either way it was TOO SMALL and blurry for me to even understand a bit of what was going on, so I just deleted it. I'll wait for a better RAW kthx.

Ugh, seriously. That completely and utterly kills the game for me; I'll never finish it. How on earth did they think that was a good idea??

Some guesses. Either too lazy to design more dungeons, or trying to make the game longer, or it's an attempt to be ~*~creative~*~ with the franchise.

i just had this other girl play it for me B[

But spirit tracks has new dungeons for you each time you return. Also, Zelda sidekick :DDDD

The Zelda part does sound sweet. How is this version's personality? I'm sort of hoping she's somehow snarky like Tetra or Midna.
