I still have money? Amazing

So, monthly shopping~ I told myself not to burn all my money on comics/books and none of it in video games. I ended up looking at the DVD section, so I got the second season of Dead Like Me. There was a promotion of shitty cheap editions, 4 for 20 euros, but since it's been going since new year's there wasn't much to get. Two movies were random picks for pretty people in it*: The Departed (which is apparently fucking good) and Troy (which is known to be hilariously bad, I'm all for mocking). The other two I really wanted to buy, and they're two of the feeeew Burton films I remember fondly: Beetlejuice and Mars Attack.

Oh, and I also got the fourth Percy Jackson novel and the second Ocarina of Time manga, which together with the DLM boxset are things I truly needed in my life.

* I assure you, my inner sixteen-year-old is ironically cackling at me. Fuck you.

I like them! For people who like Harry Potter and/or Artemis Fowl, I'd recommend them. It's more action-oriented than HP, I must say.

Then I do have to check them out. :D They seem to be aiming at my weakness.

There is! (http://www.onemanga.com/The_Legend_of_Zelda_-_Ocarina_of_Time/) Two volumes, but it's really cute.

Yup, The Departed is pretty fucking good. I think I still like the original better, but it's one of the best remakes out there (worst part is Jack Nicholson imo). Also haha, Leonardo DiCaprio is ridiculously hot in it... and believe me, nobody is more ashamed of saying than my inner teenage.

Mars Attacks is probably my favourite Tim Burton film, I don't care if people think I'm crazy when I say that. Although Ed Wood is really good too.

Your inner teenage is weeping over David Boreanaz, she has no time for Leo.

I understand why most people can find Mars Attacks creepy, but I think it's so surreal it's amusing!

oh god, Troy is amazingly bad. it has many mocking-able moments, though, yes.

i haven't seen them in ages, i don't know what my feelings about them would be now, in my Tim Burton Hating Age.

I don't like the newer Burton movies at all and think the guy is overrated as hell, but at least I'm sure I'll still like Beetlejuice; it was one of my favorite movies when I was little and I can't take off the nostalgia goggles. I don't think I'd be able to stand Edward Scissorhands, even if I liked it at the time, for the Depp supersaturation in media.
