i. Saint Young Men: Okay, there's nothing to spoil here but dude! Double chapter! Celebrating winter holidays FTW. Why are those two so adorable and funny?

ii. Historie: Er, what the fuck. I mean, okay, it's not like they weren't hinting Alexander was fucked up in the head before this. Suddenly some things make more sense. Double personality is an interesting turn, but it's really strange that you go and call the alter ego like his BFF/bro/boyfriend. Awwwwwkward. I don't know much about the time period, but I'm sure history makes no fucking sense if Hephaestion was Alexander.

iii. Vinland Saga: You know, during months I was bored out of my mind with Kurt Cobain and wondering if we'd ever see or hear about the other characters again. Months. Then in the last two chapters, Thorfinn was moe and I was for the first time all looking forward to see more silliness with him and Einar this time. Of course, that means NOW we go somewhere else. Of course.

...Holy shit, Canute. I didn't recognize you there. Haircuts and inability to grow beards do make wonders. Not only you got kinda hotter, but also exponentially batshit crazier. Then again, without Askeladd around someone must inherit the title of Local Magnificent Bastard. Sadly you still lack the charisma to fill the shoes. I still like you in all your insane fail, though.

Plus he'd get really angry if he hears that Thors' son became a lethargic slave who looked like a stoned grunge rock star, and lost all will of a warrior. Even if Thorfinn is over the emo phase by then, I still want his ass kicked by Thorkell.

I didn't recognize Canute at first either. He's definitely no new Askeladd yet, but it's interesting to see how much he changed, especially compared to Thorfinn. What made me most happy in this chapter was seeing Thorkell again, though. ♥

Had the cover not said it was him, I would've thought it was a brand new character. I was expecting him to change in personality even more, so yeah. Glad Thorkell is still around, seriously!

Canute picked up some of Askeladd's fashion sense, too, I think the fashion sense goes along with the batshit. HE'LL GROW INTO THE BATSHIT he just has to get a little taller or something

Also Historie, I'm pretty sure Hephaestion was going to disguise himself as Alexander? Or am I actually behind on Historie and not finally caught up like I thought I was?

Didn't catch that up, but true about the fashion sense! Although I kinda hope Canute stays all Napoleonic short, there's a lack of short motherfuckers in manga.

Thorkell was A++!

This month's (http://www.onemanga.com/Historie/59/). I was giving it the benefit of the doubt during most of the chapter (maybe they looked alike or were secret twins?), but the very last page seems to say it's MPD and the makeup is to cover the snake mark.

Oh, hahaha, that page. I'm pretty sure they're actually referring to actual texts there, since the real Alexander said something like that about Hephaestion.

Oh, no, it was Aristotle who said they were one soul in two bodies. Though Alexander did tell someone once that Hephaestion was "also" Alexander! So I'm pretty sure that's what's being referenced.


And at least Thorfinn is short! :D Though that's more malnutrition coming into play, maybe, since Thors and Helga are/were pretty tall. >.>;;;;

And Thorkell is ALWAYS A++ aaaaah i ♥ him so muuuch.
