SO, SPOILERS!

So it begins. Guys, if any of you puts a Fullmetal Alchemist spoiler outside a cut, I will cut you.

Measures taken by me:

1. Avoid raws. Only read scanlations to keep the suspense to the MAX.


2. Take hagaren_manga and every FMA comm off my Default View filter. For those who don't know, by creating this filter, anyone who's not in it doesn't make it to your friends page. I don't normally take anyone from it except spammy comms, but this is alert state.


3. Download Firefox add-on to block websites. The one chosen was LeechBlock.


4. Add hagaren_manga/*, fm_alchemist/*, FM-A Forums/* to LeechBlock filter. So I don't run off to check them out in a moment of weakness.


5. No matter how bored, must not check friendsfriends page. It's a jungle out there!


6. Sacrifice a goat to Zeus and pray so no one on my flist blabbers out. (Disclaimer: no, I'm not a new pagan and no, I don't kill off animals; I've just read too much Homer this month.)


7. Refresh OneManga and MangaFox every half an hour.


8. Scroll down like a maniac at the slightest hint of a reaction post, even if spoilers are under cut or it's just vague "OMG OMG OMG". Because I'm weak and I'm likely to click on it. In case it fails, temporarily remove the person from Default View until scanlation is out (sorry in advance, guys.)


9. Flail a lot at the uncertainty.

I don't know what browser you use, but in case you are in Firefox or any with add-ons, I would suggest you to install one to block all those websites. You're less likely to go crazy if you can't enter at all.

I actually gazed at the abyss, and the abyss gazed back. That is, I went to FM_Alchemist, saw a generic spoiler post mentioning out-cut that the two last pages were rolling, and then backpedaled like a cyclist. That's when I realized I had to BLOCK THAT SHIT. I'm still debating on blocking mangahelpers.

I am keeping mangahelpers but only because I expect that is where the scanlation will come up first. Well that or Onemanga. I am only looking at the scanlation pages though.

I kind of want to use it as a reference for when the raw is out, but the fact they have an online viewer and I'm so prone to check the raw out.. well, dangerous. I still could add the English FMA RSS to my RSS viewer, I guess. I am adding MangaStream's RSS, however, since they upload it to their site first than OneManga et al.

Probably generic anime-manga boards would be easy to troll. I think fandomsecrets works with a backlog so any spoiler secret would take a couple of days to pop in. I sure hope that's it.

I almost got spoiled with TDF like that. An asshole thought it a good idea to go and play guess the fandom and shout at Butcher for the last book and be very specific 'How dare you author of a dark magic-mystery series constantly hurting the main character to do THIS AND THIS AND THIS VERY SPECIFIC THINGS ONLY HAPPENING ON TDF!!1!'.

Thankfully, I had finished the book _that very morning_, or I would have killed her.
