As a lot of you know, Satoshi Kon passed away suddenly. It's pretty lame that such a bizarre, ground-breaking anime director leaves so young! I can't say I'm a fan because I've only watched two movies of his. But damn, Paprika was a blast to watch and it's one of my favorites. I think I'll download his filmography and finally get to check his more batshit cult movies out. Shine on as a legend, you crazy diamond.

My favorite anime movie is probably Millennium Actress. Also, The Girl who Leapt Through Time and Whisper of the Heart. My next favorite by Satoshi Kon is Perfect Blue, but I wouldn't rec that one to you.

I was wondering if anyone on my flist would blog about this as Satoshi Kon was an excellent director. I just got it now but I am just a little amazed as he was so young. First Carl Maciek, and then Satoshi Kon. It's just a little bit saddening.

My favorite anime movie is Howl's Moving Castle but I also think that Macross: Do You Remember Love is amazing too and worth a looksie.
