Man, I feel sorry for the my friends who still liked this series, but.

I can't stop laughing. Oh my stars, this ending was just the perfect slice of Schadenfreude pie, and it makes me feel vindicated for dropping this manga and dettaching from every character while I could. That was a very shitty non-ending, NGL.

I feel like eating popcorn.

Y'know, I never would've guessed that TRC would end up having the more satisfactory ending.

I'm not. As overcomplicated and twisty as it was, TRC was the series they enjoyed doing the most, so of course they'd work the most on an ending for it. Meanwhile there's a theory they were either sick of HOLiC or had a huge writer's block, because they kept dragging and dragging with zero pacing since Rou. If this is true, Ohkawa probably just threw whatever to get this over with, but open enough to keep Watanuki as their new Crossover Nexus Guy in their next mangas.
