* How I FEEEEEL about this character
To be honest, I spent four books indifferent to him and thinking he was an asshole. I didn't feel that sorry for his pain or what Chronos was doing because I thought he got it through his decisions.
...Then book 5 happened and as tragic as everything was, I started to love him and his flashbacks and felt so fucking sorry for him and May and Hermes. I wibble every time I remember.

Oh, um, I don't really ship hard in this canon. I am convinced that he and Thalia had big crushes on each other but they never went romantic because they were bros, and then she was turned into a tree before any of them could confess. Then she wakes up and he was a traitor (one of the reasons being the tree thing), and she doesn't go to the dark side, and they're both very butthurt and try to forget for their own sake (and this being THE reason she joins the Hunters, even more than Teh Prophecy). But well, there's a lot of resentment in that ship so I can't properly go OTP them beyond happier AUs. I don't really see the appeal of any other Luke ship, especially Luke/Percy.

I don't check the fandom so I don't know, but the fact I find Luke/Percy boring might just be one? Also, he still is a bratty asshole regardless of how justified he is to feel abandoned by the Olympians/his parents. Dude, a lot of demigods had shittier childhoods and families than yours! (Although I do concede that very few have shittier DESTINIES than his :|a)
* One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.
But all his story shapes the entire plot! If I change any tiny thing, it's a complete different AU with candy and rainbows and lack of prophecies and lack of titans and non-crazy moms and girlfriends that aren't trees and being extra strict in sword practice with that Jackson boy because he's into the non-sister.
So, um, I would've liked a short story from his time being hobo bros with Thalia and baby!Annabeth like burning. I'm a sucker for nakama.
Or, alternately, the ultimate solution for the wangsty demigod(dess): BE ADOPTED BY SALLY JACKSON.

Ed is a GREAT main character, funny and smart and moody and a nice guy without overdoing it. He just exudes personality. Also, he MOVES FUCKING FORWARD and learns from his mistakes and doesn't go the easy way if it betrays his heart. I think he's the reason why I started this series, when there was still no anime and just scanlations of 5 chapters. He made such a great first impression I had to continue it, and he was my favorite character for a little while until we got swamped by all kinds of characters. So yeah, I love him and relate him in some areas.

...Just Winry. As soon as she was introduced, I loved her and couldn't see other pairings with Ed.

I don't see the blushing-uke fandom-bicycle the rest of the fandom faps to. Or most of the weird pairings (the most I can concede is Ling/Ed, but I like them better as bros). Oh, and manga!Ed > first!anime!Ed to me.

Nothing. I'm fine with the end he got. I like that he gave the last punch, even if it was a little anticlimatic, because he as the main character had to do it in representation of all the Elrics, and everyone else did lots more than him before so it's balanced. I like that he doesn't get all his body back. I like that he can't do alchemy anymore because it's not all the powers he has (he's a genius, after all). I like that he gets to travel alone for a while, and he gets an epilogue family. I honestly don't see anything to change anywhere.

LOVE HIM. I like how cheerful and friendly he is compared to the other prosecutors because it's refreshing (which in itself is an unpopular opinion, but IDC). I like that he has something to be passionate about besides LOL LAWYERS, but still likes court enough to put it aside in the end because it's fun anyway. I like his eccentric Euro-pop flirty ways. I like that he's a good, noble guy overall even if he has the double of an ego than most prosecutors, and he still has the cheeky condescending arrogance of one. And it's interesting that he puts justice and truth before his relationship with the culprit.

I ship him mostly with Ema because the snark and teasing would be glorious.

I really like his friendship with Apollo and Trucy.

That he's not shallow. I think he has a very defined personality and very interesting behavior, but it's just not as obvious as in other characters like Edgeworth. And I like that he gives you hints, but it might be because I'm more into plot+characters than gameplay difficulty so IDGAF if he's "too easy".
* One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.
That he had hanged out in the ending with Apollo and Trucy. I was very curious to know how he was feeling about his brother deceiving him, and it was an excellent excuse to become closer friends with them (maybe even apologize to Phoenix for fucking with his career). This bonding of sorts happened with Miles and Franziska, but not with him. Even if he invited the siblings to a concert once, and even if he trusted Apollo, they're almost strangers to him.

Seriously though, I loved how friendly he was too. So refreshing.
When I played for the first time, I was like "finally a prosecutor who's not gloomy or a jerk!". Plus, he's hot =P

So cute and so badass aaaaaaaaaaaa! She's awesome. Of course I think all Xing characters are awesome, but Mei is amazing and adorable. And so brave and smart for her age, whatever that is.

AL/MEI OTP. This ship grew on me the more they interacted (many friends of mine shipped it from before) and now I actually want to see more Al-in-Xing fanart and fanfic than anything else. Go figure. But honestly, she didn't even freak out at the sorry state of post-gate!Al unlike Ed's height, so I think she's grown and has a legit crush on him as a person -and not the shoujo-manga bishounen in her imagination.

Xiao Mei BFFL ♥ And her friendship with Scar was adorable! I like the idea of her and Winry hanging out as the sisters in law they'll end up being, LOL.

That she's awesome? Apparently a lot of people don't give a fuck or think she's a Sue. HATERS GONNA HATE.

I wanted to know what she was doing in Xing, since her clan was saved without her becoming the empress but there weren't more details besides her teaching Al retanjutsu.

To be honest I liked the other two ladies in the party better than her, but I do love her spunkiness and un-princess-like attitude regardless. She's cute. And I always used her in my party for big boss fights.

Oddly enough I find that I can like a companion better when I'm not forced to like/dislike him by social pressure, so I've come to really appreciate his common sense and straight man act and presence now that he was promoted to Titular Companion in series 6, and I don't give a shit about the fandom and my flist's opinions. I think that the 2000-year wait was weird and cheesy. But in any case, I like him and I love the fact that Amy/Rory have a gender role subversion going on -while they're still feminine/masculine.

I think it's adorable how the Doctor has grown to like him. "HEY, RORY THE ROMAN! *hugs*" Having a male companion is great for a change, even if he's just there to be the deadpan snarker and doesn't do much. The Doctor doesn't seem to mind because he truly likes him on board.

...Every opinion has haters in this fandom, so there's no right answer to that. My flist has a lot of people crushing for Rory so in my corner of the Internet it's actually unpopular that he's not my favorite companion in this Team TARDIS. Plus the 2000-year thing that I mentioned before, which is YMMV.

I would've liked to see how he and Amy hooked up. They know each other since forever and it's obvious they love each other so much, but I think I'd ship them more if I see this. Plus, it must've been so dorky!

That's definitely an unpopular opinion among Amy/Rory shippers; Amy/Eleven fans feel that the wait was forcing Amy/Rory down their throats, at least according to TvTropes.

It's hard to pick a favorite, since they're all awesome in different ways and the character interactions are a huge draw! Singling out one almost detracts from them.
I would've liked to see how he and Amy hooked up.
It's not hooked up, but there are rumors that we'll see little Amelia and little Rory this season, so maybe we'll see how they became friends?
What I want to happen with Rory more than anything is for him and Amy to leave the TARDIS on their own terms and headed for a good future. Like Martha, but even more hopeful and upbeat. If/when that happens, I'll probably want something else, but right now I'm too worried about their future to waste wishes on their past.

SO ADORABLE ;A; I'm not normally into ditzy heroines, but it's impossible to dislike Ahiru. It's like hating a puppy, or in this case a ducky. She's cute and works hard and has a huge heart. Also, ducks are one of my favorite animals. She's a great lead overall and you can't help but be proud of her.

Neko-sensei j/kFakir. And Mytho. And Rue. I'm okay with all the possible ships, really. I'm not normally like this, but she makes such bonds that I can see it. Then again, I see all combos of the four characters.Oh, and when it comes to crossovers: Mousse from Ranma 1/2

I don't know what's popular, TBH. It is sad that Ahiru couldn't stay as a girl but I wasn't angry by it. Still a much better fate than dying, and she makes Fakir company.

That she had made less annoying friends at school. I always got the feeling that Pike and Lily were too cheerful when Ahiru failed at life and didn't believe in her accomplishing anything at all. She deserves better :|
