Cute!
As I'm typing this, I'm glancing at my brand new Kimihiro Watanuki plastic figure. Yes, that means I bought, among other things, CLAMP no Kiseki #2. My Tomoyo is too busy taping my Sakura to be near me. Kimi! <3 [molests squeezes the chess piece on her cheek]
No, really, he's the cutest figure. Of course, I'm saying that because he's the first bishounen of the collection. Let's see if I think the same in two months, when I get my chibi TB!Subaru. (oh well, my megane chibi will always be my megane chibi)
I also bought Tsubasa #5 and Furuba #3. I have a couple of things to say, but it will be on a different post.
Well, first: *fangirls and swoons over the group CCS illust* Sorry, I had to, I adore that illust because almost everyone is there. I had that one on my folder last year, before I printed the OTP couch illust to replace it. And now I have it in pretty, glossy color page? Waaaah!
There are a couple of interesting things in the second CCS interview (apart from the "Clow cards are mostly girls because the creator was a guy" tip from #1). First, Rika had a similar hairdo at the beginning of the series, but it was substituted later since you could confuse Sakura with her from behind.
Tomoyo looks like that (with long dark hair) so you could difference her silluette from Sakura's. Also, they admit they DID design her father but they felt it wouldn't be so bad he remained a mystery (and here we go...)
Also, they cutted a miniplot from the series. Naoko had a crush!!! O_O It was a long-distance love, and she was supposed to talk with Sakura about long-distance relationships not being so bad. But since they couldn't include Naoko's story, they didn't make her say that. Ohkawa admits she would've like to include that story in a special thingie.
So that means Tomoyo was the only girl in the manga without a couple? Man, that sucks! I'm not going to lie, I feel the whole Naoko-in-love is disappointing, as I liked her free and oblivious and carefree, but at the same time I'm relieved CLAMP did think about her that much. Now I'm curious about the person she liked, and if he/she liked her back. Did they actually meet, or were they penpals? How long was that distance? (it would be funny if she fell in love with a foreign too)
Wait! What if he was...! No, can't be. I forgot about Kaho. Fuck.
They also say that Sakura, since she's now more powerful than Clow, can live hundred of years if she wants to. And Syaoran as well (no, doesn't make sense, but it seems he can, for some reason). So they can live diabetically happy ever after for centuries. Crap, my molars hurt from the sugary idea.
And this phrase in the recap called my attention: "The reality Nadeshiko is going to tell him will certainly surprise him." Whoa! But how much does she know? Has she beingspying watching everything, or just fragments? That should be interesting! I must write that fic!
Now about Clover, since
threeleaf can be interested. Yeah, there is a Ran illust inside: the one when he's with Suu in the bird cage. The fourth volume recap... does sound slightly slashy. "A passsionate love between brothers. A tragedy called obsession." Er. And they don't include an A profile, but they do include two separated profiles for each C and Lan.
And Clover is/will be supposed to have 6 volumes, and the two last ones would be a fourth story. They don't reveal about who. They say they will continue it when they have the time and the place to edit the continuation will be decided. Now to wait ¬¬
They had problems with Suu's design. They made her a lot of hairdos, it was hard to find the right one. The only sure thing Ohkawa had in mind was that she wanted her to have short, white hair. They wanted her to have an ambiguous look. The male characters were easy to do, and and for the background they were inspired by old European and German movies, to find a nostalgic air. The songs were hard to write.
Watashi no suki na hito WAS Nekoi's first manga, not Wish. So with this, the "Satsuki drew Watashi no suki na hito" rumor goes down the toilet.

Our brains are connected, I tell you. CONNECTED. But yeah, I'm glad they left Naoko single and happy.
About Syaoran, well, he is the most powerful sorcerer in the Li clan (or so he says in the Argentinian translation, at least). He just happens to be overshadowed by his girlfriend. XD But still, I doubt Sakura would want to live for hundreds of years, since she knows and loves a lot of people who can't. Starting with her
ignored by CLAMPbrother. Now, lets practice our new mantra: I'm not getting my hopes up for Clover... I'm not getting my hopes up for Clover...

...
I'll shut up now.
Yes, he IS the most powerful. But then again, we don't know if the rest of the clan is incredibly weak and he's average, or if he is actually quite strong but he pales in front of monsters like Sakura and Clow/Eriol. I'd like to think it's the former. But he'd have to grow a lot as a sorcerer to be able to stop the aging process.
I guess it's open to interpretation, about how S+S ends.
Good mantra. I'll use it, along with a variation: "I'm not getting my hopes up for X."
