I downloaded the whole Newtype August and I'll be sharing... the ~~bad~~ Art of Tsubasa. I'm putting the XXXHOLiC scans too, but in the HOLiC community. Luckily, I'll get a translation there. (Edit: they're here)

The whole idea of that group shot without some of them killing each other scares me a LOT.
Meanwhile, who's Fujitaka's seiyuu? Can somebody translate the kanji?

My favorite page, for obvious reasons. Clow country yay! Kings yay! OTP yay! <3 Too bad they messed it up with Yuuko *yuck* I should be thankful, though: I'd be really tempted to do a King-of-Clow!Clow/Yuuko icon otherwise.
Again, can anyone tell me who is Clow's ~~awful~~ seiyuu?

You know what's sad? I think the most beautiful person in that whole page is Souma. No, really, she's so pretty. After her, the best (or most accurate) character design is Watanuki's. Tomoyo looks like a zombie!Sue, and we all know about Fye and Kurogane...

Hanshin country. Where the Pokemon battles are hot. Er, I mean.
Too bad Shougo's hotness isn't really shown here. Arashi looks lame(r). And I'm still boggled Rayearth is lacking, you know, flames.

Koryo country. Where Spirits Are Always With You. Especially your mom's.
I'm sad about how Chun Hyang's story came out. They gave her too much angst and Sakura was a lot around. Meanwhile, the sorceress looks just as she should be.

Jade country. Where there are no horses, even though there should be.
You know, Emeraulde looks like a blonde Nadeshiko. Must be the wavy hair and stuff. And I swear to God, that hair and eye color (it shows more in the anime, though) make Kyle look a bit like Eriol. ARGH.

Mokonafish! Poor thing, it wasn't spared from the torture of showing up with these freaks.
Meanwhile, the text around the tubular thing, is it something important for the plot or just obvious crap?

I shall continue on the anime!Kyle-looks-a-lot-like-anime!Eriol paranoia and more Jade details in another post. With screencaps and stuff. I just haven't seen this week's episode yet.

Yay Clow! :D He looks surprisingly well, especially compared to the main characters. Ugh. Is it just me, or do Fye and Kuro get uglier every page?

Agree about Souma. She's really pretty. So is Emmeraude, and I want her dress.

I can't say anything about anime!Kyle, really... I downloaded screencaps of ep. 13 and he reminds me of someone different in every picture. Even Yukito, once. Tht can't be good.

Yeah! ^^ I like his cloak a lot. While Touya prefers black and blue, his father prefers that beige/dirty golden color with his black.

Souma's always gorgeous, in any version. Then again, I dig the dark-haired sexy ninja chick cliche. I think I like all the Jade clothing in general, it's so XVIII century or something. Monsieur Glossum/Glossam/Grossum/Grossam looks exactly like in the manga (except skinnier, maybe?)

Did everyone he reminded you of appear in my "Clow derivate" chart, by any chance? Just so I know.

Of course everyone was in the derivates chart. (Then again, who isn't?) Anime!Kyle has a lot more Eriol vibes than Manga!Kyle, who was just Clowish to me.

I knew I was forgetting about someone... Glossum/whatever looks good, too. Poor guy, I never remember his name! I called him "Rochefort" since the beginning, because he looked like I imagined the Musketeer red-herring-for-bad-guy, and it stuck.

...I'm reading The Three Musketeers right now. I've been spoiled, now I know he'll be a red herring T_T;

At first I thought Manga!Kyle-sensei looked a bit like Watanuki-kun, then I was seeing AngelicLayer!Manga!Ohjiro with a slightly different hairdo and glasses.

The late 1700s / early 1800s clothes were awesome; men's fashion was my favorite topic when my history class studied the American Revolution. Unfortunately, my class didn't want to discuss colonial fashions. Or my love of tailcoats and other long coats. ^_^

You're right about Kyle looking like Eriol, especially in the profile sketch. He looks like Eriol from

sheepplusharmy's default icon, in fact.

As for the Nadeshiko/Emmeraude thing, I guess I can see it. Except that Nadeshiko never looked that sad.

Wait a minute... *looks at Syaoran headshots* Look! He's showing emotion! How come that doesn't happen in the show?

I'm glad the short has designs where the characters actually look like themselves. Even though Syaoran's hair is waaaay to light. At least Kuro is buff again and Fai's sexy again. Stupid cheapasss episode animators.

Who wants to take bets on how they'll screw up Outo now?

Dude... I'm actually hoping they won't animate Outo. That they, I don't know, make a closure/filling saga up.

That one is the best saga, IMHO. Even my 11 year-old brothers agree. They thought it was cool.

I want to see them either do a wonderfull Outo or do it so bad that the X fandom rip them to pieces for blowing their last chance to see you-know-who
