I just discovered something.

bizarro (Spanish) =/= bizarre (English)

I had believed bizarro was the translation of bizarre all my life, and it turns out it's not just that they don't mean the same. They even have almost opposite meanings! Being bizarro is a good thing: it means you're gallant or magnanimous. It doesn't make you weird or eccentric.

God, was I wrong.

I personally blame it on the Superman cartoons' dub.

ETA: In other news, I need the shiny new FMA manga chapter, like, right now.

Yo no vi Superman, pero recuerdo que él tenía un enemigo llamado Bizarro, que era el opuesto de él.

Yo también quiero estar en negación ;_; Con lo mucho que me gusta decir "pero qué bizarro"...
