Experimenting with mp3s
Ah, I just got a software that can convert regular music tracks to digital files, so you know what it means. Yeah. Sharing music!
Maybe I'll make a tradition and share two to four songs a month. We'll see. I don't have a lot of music now.
I'll bring you today my first (and successful) sample:
Artist: Incubus
Song: Aqueous transmission
Genre: uh, in this case I'd say experimental
Notes: This is the song that named my journal ^_^ I love this song. It's so weird I don't know how to describe it. Even if Incubus is a rock band, this song lacks any rock instrument (we do hear DJ sounds and slight percussion, though). The melody is strongly Asian-influenced, so you'll find shamisen, flutes and orchestra string instruments performing it. But the weirdest sounds are birds chirping on the background and croaking frogs in the end of the song. The lyrics are pretty and interesting, probably about a river-water sailor who reflects about his feelings of loneliness while he sails, unless it's all a metaphor. Either way, it works for me.
Sorry about the size. The song is rather long (almost 8 minutes) so it turned out heavy. Maybe after hearing it, you'll see why I'm so satisfied with my LJ's newest layout.

Oh. lol yeah... I usually forget things like that too. And I don't know if I really want people connecting the two.

The only journal I don't want people to link me is my journalfen account (for fandom wank and assorted mocking comms reading *cough* I don't check it often, really!) Only Vicki-mun knows. In LJ I have... let's see... this one, a webmistress journal, an icon journal, a Spanish journal, a fic comm/journal. Whoa. I guess it's more for organization purposes. I don't like filtering or people filtering me a lot. I seriously doubt all my flist would read my fanfics or my personal Spanish posts, for instance.
Okay, let me know ^_^

Yeah, like you said, it is mainly for organization in the end.
I'll let you know when I up episode 14. That one made me HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY.
