I *did* sort of call the "Our Shaoran is the fake one" thing months ago. It's the "Clow Reed's descendant" part that gets to me. I'm so confused that I don't even have the strength to be annoyed.

I mean... Clow's descendants are supposed to be from the CCS world... but we saw Older!Shaoran at the end of CCS, so that doesn't work. Unless he told Sakura he was coming back from Hong Kong and he was actually in a bottle somewhere.

So this means that there is a different Shaoran who is also CCS!Clow's descendant? How? Can there be two in the same world? Or did he go around spreading descendants across the multiverse?

actually a friend of mine foreshadowed a long long time ago that Shaoran was a clone. He had no memory, so it was possible.

Yeah, I know at least two or three more people who thought he was some kind of fake too.

But it's the second part that breaks my brain. I can't see a way out of this without either a plothole or a really lame cop-out. I hope they surprise me in a *good* way, but since they said in an interview that they're actively "dumbing down" Tsubasa I don't have a lot of expectations.

The thing is, when Fei Wang talks about Clow Reed, we know he's talking about THAT Clow. Because we've seen his picture on the background about half the times he gets mentioned.

And I do have a question that may be up everyone's alley here. Clow Reed-san... is he the same one who was with Yuuko-san and made Soel-chan and Larg-chan / made the Clow Cards and pink wand / is Sakura-hime and Touya-ou's father? Or are there other Clow Reed-sans, too? I know I said this before, but again, we never heard much of Sakura-hime's mother come to think of it... Don't tell it's Yuuko-san!

It still gets you to think. Is there more than one Clow Reed-san?

I do remember in the Puff Interview that CLAMP stated that these are in different dimensions. They have the soul but are NOT the same as the CCS counterparts...

My favorite theory right now is that DARK!(or better yet, ORIGINAL!)Syaoran is so zombied-out because he's been seeing things through CLONE!Syaoran's body, so there may be a chance of getting the Syaoran we all know and love back.
But Geez, CLAMP, we all read Chobits. We all get it-you can love an inanimate object.

Lessee, in theory, the former King of Clow is an alter!Clow. The creator of the cards, the one who made Mokona Modoki with Yuuko and the one Fei Wang is related to is the same one: Teh Clow Reed. Supposedly, the king is another guy.

Now then, there are theories, generated by the fact CLAMP never gives the king's first name in character guides. We don't know for sure this is a Clow, or a different Clow. A friend of mine thinks the King might be an older!alter!Eriol, for instance; that one is crack, but amusing crack she also thinks Kaho was the queen, making CCS!Touya/Kaho several levels of creepy. Some would like to think Clow Reed went to that world, became king, had his children with who knows who, and went back to his world: that would explain the Clow sigil in a certain splash cover and how Yuuko suddenly quoted the king one day, but it fucks the canon up in so many levels. Is it possible? ...I, um, guess, considering they're fucking CCS canon up as we speak. But it shouldn't be that way.

I would like to think that King of Clow and Clow Reed are two different people with the same soul. But then again, the "death" of the King of Clow could just mean he ran back over to CCS!World.

But then... which Clow is TRC!Syaoran-kun related to? That's what screws with me... ._.;

Thing is, I think King of Clow's death was never mentioned in the series. I have to check if any character guide mentions if he's dead.

I'd prefer to think there are three Clows around, or that Clow Reed lived and had descendants in TRC!bottled!Syaoran's world, but it might be contradicted next week or next month or next year. Dammit.
