Right, so...

After a sleepless night with the laptop being a bitch, and doing a fifth attempt this morning, now Soel has been upgraded to Ubuntu 6.06! Hey, look, and I had no need to twist things up for the graphics card to work!

So Dapper Drake has been pwned... sort of. I still can't get Linux to do things like I'd like it to since all the software and codecs and stuff can only be gotten from repositories. And since there's no wi-fi connection here, I don't even know if the laptop can even access the Internet, let along downloading upgrades.

Same old same old. Let us play mahjong solitaire, then.

Meanwhile, considering the manga keeps it going about characters I don't give a fuck about, and the anime fillers seem to be too cracktacular for me, I'm pulling the plug for Bleach. Well, not *entirely*, but I've defriended all Bleach comms and took my Bleach icons off. The series is boring me too much right now.

Personally, I'm a bit bitter by Ishida's absense. I mean, I know he's training with his dad and stuff, but just as we sometimes get back to Orihime and Chad's trainings, we could have more input on how Uryuu is hanging. Kubo just gives him five pages every six months or something.

But maybe it's just my own bias because he's my favorite character.

I understand where you're coming from. I dropped Death Note when they killed my favorite character; it could had ended there and it would had been been god, but no, they just kept going and going and going and I couldn't be arsed to feel a thing about the new kids.
I mean, not that I think that Kubo's going to kill Ishida, but the lack of one's favorite character does have a big impact on keeping one's attention.

...that sounds too academic-like... *sighs*

Funny you say that, because I also dropped DN after he died XDDDD

But really, I tried to give it a try (valga la redundancia) and I gave Near and Mello a chance, but... it just wasn't the same.

And after hearing about the crappy ending, I'm so damned glad I left that fandom.

Ditto.
In my little Bubble of Joy, Light ended up ruling the world with the iron fist of a psychopathic dictator until further notice.

By the by, have you hear something about the movie? I want to see it, if only to shut up the L fangirl in me.

I want to see it, too XD But I'm waiting for a subbed version to come out. An L-obsessed friend of mine was going to let me know when she hears something about it.

Still, I heard the movie also had a crappy ending. It's like, Raito/Light and L meet! Roll credits now and leave it open! WTF.

That's why I say one of my main goals it's to shut up my inner L fangirl after watching it. There's going to be a second part in november, I think. And, just because I have to say this to someone, Wikipedia says that there are plans for an american remake.

A friend gave me a very spoilerific fan review of the DN movie. Here it is, if you want to take a look at it.
