Defenders of justice and cafeteria lunch!

Right, so my local manga shop still hasn't gotten CLAMP no Kiseki... *is emo*

For some reason I decided to buy the first volume of Duklyon. I have no idea why, considering I think the CLAMP Campus manga series are the cheesiest ones from their CV.

However, Duklyon is so cheesy on purpose it becomes hilarious XD I enjoyed one volume of this more than the whole CCD series.

Kentarou, good Lord. You're such a fag, but in a good way. It's the first time I see someone being so obvious over the classmate he likes in a CLAMP series, and even without the need of trees. He makes Takeshi bentou, he says inappropiate phrases ("Aren't we more than friends?!") in front of their class. And also, sometimes, he channelizes Tamaki Suoh. Rly.

Takeshi is awesome because he's the only SANE one. I swear, the rest of the cast have serious mental issues. Hell, Takeshi is even saner than Nokoru's dog. Then again, the fact he's reading on the first page he's in, and that gets my approval. It's so funny how he goes "I SWEAR I DON'T KNOW HIM!" near Kentarou because he embarrasses him and makes people question his sexuality. But he's getting softer and now he eats his food.

Erii is such a violent chick she's my heroine. Yay 20-ton mallets! And LOL, she likes Kotobuki back! XD (But really, girl, why the fuck you can't realize who he really is and then hit him with the mallet; I think there's a high chance he's a masochistic and he'd appreciate that? What are you, inverse!Lois Lane?)

Kotobuki ♥ You're the lamest villain evah! But the cheesiness and the dorkiness wins me. The 80's hairdo is a pain to the eyes, though. But really, I can't understand it. Can't anyone notice the leader of the bad guys is Kotobuki without the glasses, and wearing a butt-ugly armour and bad make-up? Jesus. He's so adorable with Erii. "Er, e-e-excuse me... Here, have these fruits! *runs*"

The fights are as lame as you can imagine, because this IS a sentai parody. But the best monster of them all is the wool sheep thing with the static electricity XDDD And everyone, even the bad guys, touching it anyway XDDD They're so stupid.

So, anyway.

Kentarou/Takeshi -it's getting so canon even the whole cast ships them!

Erii/Kotobuki

Such OTPs.

Yes.

ETA: Wow. The Spanish Saiyuki edition is amazing. The volumes are larger than the usual sizes by the other editorials, they kept the color pages -all glossy-, and they even added some translation notes with background info. And it's .50 cents cheaper than a Norma manga! Wow, Mangaline! You're making me buy all Saiyuki because it's just delightful.

I agree with EVERYTHING you said about Duklyon. 'Tis love, that serie. I wish I could find Kentarou/Takeshi fics on the net ^^

Wow, there aren't? That sucks D: I like them more as a couple than, say, Rikuou/Kazahaya and Doumeki/Watanuki. CLAMP fandom sucks.

I do like R/K, but my OTP in Gohou Drug is Kakei/Saiga.

I have no GD icon D: Woe.

[identity profile] telrunya.livejournal.com 2006-07-18 06:26 pm (UTC)(link)
¿En serio? ;_;.

[identity profile] rainmage.livejournal.com 2006-07-18 06:32 pm (UTC)(link)
Sip.

[identity profile] elihice.livejournal.com 2006-07-18 04:36 pm (UTC)(link)
Mmmm I might have to read that one.

[identity profile] rainmage.livejournal.com 2006-07-18 05:55 pm (UTC)(link)
It's a tad hard to get, though. There are ZERO scanlations or raw scans, which is rather frustrating. And I suck too much at scanning to oblige.

[identity profile] elihice.livejournal.com 2006-07-18 06:01 pm (UTC)(link)
Meaning I'll have to keep my eye on that one at the anual book fair. Compared to Spain, it's hard to get manga here.

It can't be worst than Venezuela. It's almost impossible to find manga anywhere, and not even special events helped. And I lived in the capital, mind you.
