Umm, something that hasn't been asked yet... FMA anime? If it's too huge, let's narrow it than to *rabid shipping* in the FMA anime.

Errrrrr. It's been years since I watched the anime so I can't even remember how the whole plot goes except for some fragments (you know, 51 episodes and I only watched them once each... yeah)

And I kinda think 90% of the ships (anime or manga) are random and/or OOC, so the answer is kinda short...

ETA: that, and I don't want to pick on certain ships, as I have people on the flist or that have me on their flist who love them. So, er, yeah. After the fandom_wank issue, I don't want to talk about FMA and shipping in a public post.

- I don't find this new world hot.
- *see the Kurofay rant above*
- I love Kurogane because, even though he takes things too seriously at the beginning, he's the sanest person in the group and his character development, unlike the others', doesn't make me want to kick puppies. I'm in a point I don't fucking care about his sexuality. He's just awesome.
- The only pairings I'll ship actively are the ones who are so minor they only appear for some pages and the rest of the fandom forgot. Maybe because of that; CLAMP can't fuck them all (...much) and there are few chances of finding OOC fics
- I've always thought Syaoran (pre-batshit state) had more chemistry with Ryuu-oh than with Sakura.
- I'm not in a hurry to see Fye's backstory anymore.
- Mediocre as he is, Kyle is the sexiest antagonist of them all til today.
- Sakura's evolution feels too violent and forced to me to like. Hell, I'd rather see her sleeping or even in her Piffle self than her new!improved!hardcore angst persona (coming in two flavors: Lara Croft and Amy Lee (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amy_Lee)!)
- I find both Tomoyos boring. One is CCS!redux with more speshulness (with her being the most! important! person! in the whole Piffle), the other looks even more Sueish. Pray tell, do they even have any flaws? No? Okay, then whatever.
- Fye/Chii disturbs me because he made her and not because she's really stupid in Chobits. That would only make me not to ship it (like what happens with me and Fujimoto/Kobato; pretty guy + idiotic girl = meh)
- Tokyo is far from my favorite world. A lot far.
- I don't only hate batshit!clone!Syaoran because of hurting Fye. It's the whole Ashura flashbacks what got to me.
- Clow country had the hottest guys.
- ...I want a Clow Reed deluxe cover.

But since when deluxe covers are a demonstration of plot importance? I mean, CHII has a cover!

All you need in order to get a cover is looking good and have some base of popularity in your original series. And CLAMP did all the relevant RG Veda covers already, so they're in the middle of an X cover rush. Subaru is so next in line, and the Clow cover probably won't come until the series is almost over, with my luck.

Oh, and I'd also like to say, I agree with a lot of what you said, the Fai stuff in particular. God, I want him to stop being such a drama queen and grow up already. Geez.

And Kurogane is, by far, the best character in that series. He's actually the only one keeping me with it. Best scowling dad ever ♥
