I tend to press and hold SHIFT instead

I think I'm lost with the purpose of the infamous CAPSLOCK comms, besides typing like OotP!Harry Potter would. I go to one and I see silly canon rants, I go to another and I see crackful (and most of the times crappy or tasteless) fanstuff, and I go to some other and they're mocking the idiots with badly-disguised sarcasm. Does it depend on the fandom or the members decide what to be capslock-y about?

I've been thinking about the manganime merchandise I'd love to have one day, probably when I have a job and stuff. Because most of this is expensive:

But I don't mean typing in CAPSLOCK itself. There's this trend in LJ right now, in which people create a comm for a fandom in which you can only post in caps. So in the end you get an average fandom community, except, you know, pretty much louder than usual.

Try looking for "capslock" as an interest in LJ search, and you'll stumble to some.

Right, I've seen capslock_house. Still don't get the point of it. I don't like being shouted at over the intrawebs. ^^ Obviously you don't either.

I suspect those (the House capslockers) were the ones who started the trend, and interesting enough they're famous for their wanks. Their retina-burning, epilepsia-inducing layout doesn't help either.

...ironically, the CLAMP capslock comm seems to be made in order to wank.

It could be worse. The day someone makes a StIcKyCaPs comm, then we'll know the webapocalypse has come.

That layout gives me seizures, man. And a stickycaps comm... well, I might just have to leave the internet. wow. That would suck.
