My eeeeears

Well, yeah, I still hate teamwork -more than ever, even. So I checked links around Youtube for kicks.

The day I brainwashed [livejournal.com profile] arcadia_, she was showing an episode of the infamous Zelda cartoon. How about this video? It's so awful it'll make your ears bleed, yet so pathetic you have to laugh even as a self-defense mechanism. Me? My ribcage hurts now XD

After the house smackdown, I feel like watching the CCS anime. If it wasn't 3:00 and so in the morning, I would watch my favorite episode, #68. But the catch is, I want to watch the Mexican dub with the sexy Yue voice (Mexican CCS is a weird dub in the sense I actually like a big percentage of their voices as much as or better than the original; exceptions are the sun guardians as they make me crawl to a corner and raise mushrooms when in Spanish T_T). Youtube provides, but it's not the hour to drool on a monitor. I'll save the link for later, though.

And thinking about seiyuus, my mind goes OT and decides Johan from Monster is creepier than even brain-eating psychopaths (including Hannibal and Sylar) just because he got voiced by Nozomu Sasaki *shudders*. Damn, this man could pull Eriol's dual nature perfectly, although it always felt so wrong to me. And I think I now understand why: I prefered the Mexican VA. The duality from the original gets lost, as he only did one tone, but his voice suits fine and it's hotter, and I can feel better perving in since it's not either pseudo-psycho childish or weird deep.

I should rewatch the original as well. I can't quite remember Clow's Japanese voice, and that's my only excuse.

By the way, during the Mienai Chizu sequence with the flowers blooming? THERE'S A TREE OF MAGNOLIAS. AJHJGJHGSK.

...

.... I hate you master

Da~! I tried really, really hard to watch the anime again the other day. Couldn't do it xD Not even the never-ending sexiness of Tou-ya could stop my ears from bleeding their sweet life out.

Iwao and Tange are a No-No here.

Mexican dub = ♥. At least for CCS. Fujitaka ♥ And Yamazaki was the cutest thing EVAone!!one!11 ♥

AH! ERIOL hearts;

'Ssssshaoran', 'TomoLLo', 'LLue', 'LULZ'

Ups >D

Lol I was already amused at the 'LL's, but then NO dub can pronounce that correctly DX

It's a small detail if you hear how English dubs pronounce Japanese names.. *shudder*

English dubs = Sweet mother of all R's consonants ♥.

(Escherek? Cherek? Ccccccccchrekkk?)

BURRRRRRNS.

[identity profile] http://users.livejournal.com/arcadia_/ 2007-05-22 03:28 pm (UTC)(link)

[identity profile] laurus-nobilis.livejournal.com 2007-05-22 05:15 pm (UTC)(link)

NO.

No funcionó demasiado.

Well excuuuuuuuuuuuuuse meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee--! :P

I CAN'T stand Iwao's voice for the life of me. It's so high-pitched I can't understand how that's considered the pweetiest singing voice in school evah, or how loli fanboys can masturbate to that. So fucking annoying. I'd even rather 5 minutes of Mexican!Suppi and Kero doing Shakespeare scenes IC before listening to all of Tomoyo's songs in a row.

I also think Megumi Ogata is overrated, and that Yuekito works better with a male voice (I must've been the only person not whining over Syaoran and Yukito getting male voices in Crapnicle. I did whine over Touya's because while the seiyuu is hot damn, he can't voice any Touya for shit. Then I stopped caring over TC because eww.)

Look! Sokka! Hi Sokka~!

XDDDDDD

Or how loli fanboys can masturbate to that

... D: I-I don't need those mental images. I like some of Tomoyo's songs. Just... Don't speak. Keep singing, little one.

After all, if he/it looks like one, then there's no reason for him/it not getting to sound like one.

Then I stopped caring over TC because eww.

That's a reasonable thing to do ♥

[identity profile] jlarinda.livejournal.com 2007-05-22 02:37 am (UTC)(link)
It amuses me that Suppy's voice is the same as Oolong's from DB 8)

CCS's mexican dub is made of win, really D: It's easily one of the best dubs I've heard, along with the one of Tenkuu no Escaflowne and the Digimon Frontier one.

I totally heart Yue's voice, too♥ I actually like both- the original a little better cause of the "No hay nadie digno de serlo" being said in such a low voice. Yue's broken voice in the original pwns it.

I'd lend you my tapes of the series if we weren't in completely different countries 8D;;

[identity profile] rainmage.livejournal.com 2007-05-22 08:25 am (UTC)(link)
Yue's voice is just awesome. I'm not sure I would've had the crush for Yue if it wasn't for the dub, because his voice really adds a lot of unintended sexyness to the character. Megumi Ogata does a great Yue, but I don't particular like her Yukito.

I had tapes! They just got lost during the moving, and I don't own a VHS anyway XD But that's what Youtube is for, yay!

It IS scary and weird, just like the Mario cartoons but with crappy Han/Leia wannabe dynamics. It's so bad I can't vividly remember any whole episode DX But I laugh over stuid things, and a catchphrase remix can be amusing at 1:00 am.

-an episode of the infamous Zelda cartoon

-I want to watch the Mexican dub with the sexy Yue voice

CCS in Spanish! I must check this out. *__*

I never watched the anime in its entirety--I remember briefly reading the manga, though. I liked the story nonetheless. So cute! ♥

CCS is one of my main fandoms, although the magic and the secondary characters attract me more than the cute factor and the couples XD The fandom is particularly mediocre, but some few good writers and artists compensate it. The anime is fillertastic, changed the most twisted parts of the plot, and retconned a couple of poor characters (oh Kaho...), but I watched it before reading the manga so I'm cool with it. The manga's still better and weirder and shoujo-ier, but the anime is probably one of the least worse CLAMP-based animations.

The dub is really faithful to the original dialogues, so I think you could get away with watching one or two episodes for the Eriol VA, his voice is sexy too lulz.

This dub was my first experience with the series, so it's pure nostalgia :3
