Oh dear. RPG-ied Bejeweled?!

Duuuuuuuuuuude. They're opening a FNAC store in Coruña! And precisely next Wednesday. I might go and take a look without bringing money, because it's dangerous after the final. Sweet!

Regarding the, er, quest for a lasting game for my new, shiny NDS, who still is unnamed (Yuuko? Robin? how about Crowley?! I never name stuff over books, and there's something evil about that little black-colored Nintendo spawn). I think we have a winner.

I still have my doubts, because it has some strategy, and I hate playing strategy. Besides, it's the fact Bejeweled spin-offs will always make me think of Jewel Quest, also known as "mom's crack" or "that Mayan-esque shit that keeps mom awake till 4:00 am". Buying this would make me wonder if I really have something in common with the maternal unit, besides liking sun+moon decoration motives.

But I made the mistake of testing the PC demo. It's quite enjoyable. Also, quite bizarre. Because really, you fight people by playing puzzles! Well, magic too, but with mana you collected from... the puzzle! I think this is funny because that's how the game IS. My wizard level 7 in the demo fought rats, bats, orcs, and zombies, among other beings, last night. With Bejeweled. So WTF it's awesome :D :D

...I do have a thing for weird games, don't I? Let's consider that the game I bought before Twilight Princess and Okami was We Love Katamari.

But now, seriously. I'll try Elite Beat Agents (and some of your suggestions, you can still make any :3) on emulation after the exam, and if I like it enough I might buy it when it comes out here.

ETA: [livejournal.com profile] arcadia_ be damned for linking me to a compilation of translation for the Twelve Kingdoms novels. Before the exam!

ETA 2: I think I'm going to change my fanlisting collective's name. It's been months since I grew sick of it. It's so... fangirl Japanese. Don't know what I was thinking back then, four years ago.

ETA 3: Harry Potter 7 will be 28.50€ here. OUCH.

lolol I would so play that if I had a DS. It looks pretty awesome.

It's okay to like weird games... one time I played Devil May Cry 3 and We Love Katamari back to back. :D Yes, horrible, I know.

DMC is more normal of a game series than the Katamaris. Katamari is probably not THAT odd if you're used to the bizarreness of the Japanese minds. Still, my brothers were extremely WTFed when they checked it out for the first time, probably judging my sanity for buying it. After a while, they were hooked and had almost got over the crack and psychedelics (they still stop sometimes to go "whattheshit?! thatmakesnosense!", but usually the motto has become "don't ask, don't try to figure it out, just... keep rolling ¬¬U")

Man, I have to buy that Twelve Kingdoms book that's been eyeing me up in Borders...

And Harry over here is £17.99 last time I looked. The publishers know we're all gonna buy it so they hike the price up -_-

I've heard the novel is quite good. I want to import it one day -I have such a big list of anime-basing novels I'm alarmed O_o

It's still cheaper over there (by around 1.30£). And I bet the third parties here are taking advantage because it's the last HP book and all *sigh*
