Wait, thinking about my future?!
Holy crap, my university now has a Master degree on Digital Creation and Communications. That including graphics and animation and web design, between other stuff. You know what? When I graduate from this shit, I might as well try to get in. I'm not sure I might be able to take the actual Master course as I'm doing a tech career, but there's also this 'Expert In' degree that has lower requirements. The only difference being the number of total credits/courses, and the Master people must also do practice job on companies while the Expert don't (aww, I sort of want to do that).
Anyway. I spent 11 hours yesterday, finding a copy of Heroes 2x01 I could download, not on MU, not over 400MB, not to be pasted back with spyware-filled software, not stopping in the middle. Eleven fucking hours, people. If this happens next week, I'll take their hands and twist their fingers until it hurts.

TheButlers Bennets are still the best, cutest thing ever.
fujur_preux was saying Noah is like Chuck Norris. And dammit, I think it's TRUFAX. No, he's greater than Norris!
Flying boy isflying suspicious. Even if he was designed as love interest, that doesn't mean he's one of the good guys. Remember Eden, flirting with Mohinder?
Speaking of which, go Mohinder! And go Matt, the poor thing sucks as a parent with Molly, but his clumsy attempts are cute.
I couldn't care less about the Petrellis this episode. Even a drunken Takezo Kensei was more interesting than emo drunken Nathan with beard. To me, at least. The Peter thing was more WTF than anything. Mama Petrelli is a bitch, but that's not new.
BTW, I loved the Kaito+Angela part where Nakapapa pwns her. "But *I* helped my son (to be badass) even though I thought he sucked for years! What about you, whore?!" <- Paraphrasing, but that being the point. I LOL'd.
Kaito+Andoin-law bonding was sweet. It's interesting the one who won't give up on waiting for Hiro was papa. Poor Ando keeps being dragged in by stubborn Nakamuras to America over and over again. And always ending in DOOM. Speaking of which...
FUCK, KAITO! WHY DID YOU GET KILLED OFF WITHOUT EXPLAINING YOUR STUPID AND DARK PAST?!? *headdesk* THERE BETTER BE FLASHBACKS IN THE MAKING, OR A LETTER TO ANDO OR HIRO LEFT ON YOUR DESK.
*breathes*
I had spoiled myself on casting news and knew Kensei was a gaijin. But why do I get the feeling there's a big chance Hiro will pass himself as Kensei and do all the legendary shit on his name?Does that mean he'll die in the past?! D:
And about the "wonder twins", I think I paid more attention to the Spanish and the subplot than them as characters. It's still a bit early to judge them, although... is it me, or they had as much "subtext" as the Petrelli brothers? (Personally, I don't see much subtext between Nathan/Peter, but if people see stuff in there? then they should see Alejandro/Maya unless they're heterophobes, because they seemed even closer as siblings. That's what I think.)
And now to be nitpicky. It kinda felt like watching an actual Latin show to me, and I'm not only saying it because of the jungle XD Hell, some lines were so cheesy said in Spanish I felt like watching a novela XP I was half expecting salsa music inside the pick-up truck, for more third-world realism.
Why the fuck are the Spanish subtitles so UGLY? Couldn't they use the same font and color than the Japanese ones? That yellow tone was just fugly. I hadn't seen such a thing in ages, it srsly looked like an amateur anime fansub.
About the Spanish itself, it seemed correct to me. The only complains I can think are a) some short phrases had no subs, and b) "¡hijo de perra!". You see, this is a pet peeve it's interesting I find in the opposite direction (normally it's Spanish subs translating "son of a bitch" as "hijo de perra"). I mean, literally they do mean the same. Maybe it's different in other countries, but I've never, ever seen "hijo de perra" said IRL. "Perra" (bitch, both meanings of it) is an usual insult. But when it comes to insult the child of one, the common thing to say is "hijo/hija de puta" (literally, son/daughter of a whore). It's a stronger insult, but extremely common in slang, unlike "hijo de perra".
I can tell Maya and Alejandro's actors ARE native speakers, or at least know their family language quite well. The acting is a bit melodramatic and telenovela-esque, but it's to be expected with the anxiety-filled scenes. Now, the truck driver? That man had an awful non-native accent, and couldn't even pronounce the R's well. He also had problems with the standard y/ll sound. I can tell by two painful scenes that guy doesn't speak it fluidly or might not even be a Latino. I complain about this because he really turned me off the scenes with him speaking, and that sucked.
...Now, why am I talking more about this shit than the episode itself? Blah.

And somehow Mr. Nakamura's Japanese always sounds so stilted. :/

I don't know Japanese, but even I noticed.
Though maybe it is because I've watched too much anime. But the actor is not Japanese, I believe. ^^u

This one is a nice site to get torrents for TV shows. Hope you didn't know about it.
why do I get the feeling there's a big chance Hiro will pass himself as Kensei and do all the legendary shit on his name?
I hope he won't, if only because it'd be the easiest and cheapest way to go story-wise.
About the brothers, I was also more interested in the way they spoke than their story line. XD Even if the girl's power ended up intriguing me.
Personally, I'm highly amused by the fact that whenever they said "Estados Unidos", it got subbed as "America".
Oh, the sociological tl;dr that can come out of that little fact~. x3

Thanks for the tip! But the problem wasn't in the torrents. A large majority of the copies were 700MB, the others were corrupted, and one had the file in pieces you could only reattach by using a spywaretastic software.
I think the Estados Unidos thing must've been that the script was first written in English, and then translated to Spanish. Because I can't see Estados Unidos -> America, but America -> Estados Unidos makes sense.

For the lulz indeed. XD I haven't like Mr. N's recent movies as much as the first ones. D: I hope he gets better now he's using someone else's script. >.>;;

O__o wow, that sucks big time!
I think the Estados Unidos thing must've been that the script was first written in English, and then translated to Spanish. Because I can't see Estados Unidos -> America, but America -> Estados Unidos makes sense.
Yep, I agree with you. But it's very interesting in the way it marks the difference between how they look at themselves and how we look at them. =D
I'm thinking they used either a latino to translate the scripts or they let the actors to ad-lib to make it more natural, as they've let Masi.
no subject
Yeah, could've been either way, they seemed fluid enough for that. The worst part is, the American audience will never understand or notice it anyway.

Anyway, I went 'they're totally dating' the whole time until he said she was his sister. Depends on how things go if I will end up shipping them or not, because d-damn she is hot.
I managed to maintain myself spoiler-free about the casting except from one actress from a series I loved, but because of the wank. D: But the Japanese of the guy seemed strange so I was happy when I discovered I was correct.
I also think that Flying Romantic Interest is fishy. It remind me of American Beauty with the Stalking and that made me OMGHAPPY until well, you know, remembered it is extremely fishy. Still I like him with his aliens and robots talk. xD
My thoughts about Peter are:
- Brainwashed.
- Memory erased.
But that's probably obvious. I do care about Nathan, probably I'm cheap or something. D:
Kaito+Ando in-law bonding was sweet. It's interesting the one who won't give up on waiting for Hiro was papa. Poor Ando keeps being dragged in by stubborn Nakamuras to America over and over again.
Totally trufax.
(By the way, yeah, I will check Okami tomorrow, maybe. 8D)

She has a nice body, yeah. But really, I have yet to see an 'ugly' young female on Heroes.
I so should've stayed spoiler-free to freak out with the others for the bad Japanese. Aww.
The cheap one is me for not caring about the Petrellis XP But I was sure they had to be alive. Not well, for obvious reasons, but alive.
Ando has so much patience, man. Hopefully it'll pay off.
(*shifty eyes at the "maybe"*)
no subject
You have a point there. Well, she isn't extremely beautiful, so maybe that's counts to some extend?
Hahaha, you're not part of Teh Cool Kids. 8D (kidding ;_;)
They had to be alive. Especially Nathan, d-damn, I shouldn't be liking him that much.
(... Okay, tomorrow I will watch them. Happy? xP [Actually I saw the first two before going to bed xD])

I knew it because I read they'd signed contracts for another season. That's the point where I said "No more casting spoilers for me, plz."

Am I the only one who went "they're brothers :0" when, after they went inside that building escaping from the police, he told her, "Le dije a mamá que no te iba a dejar atrás" [paraphrased]? XD

I thought that maybe he was talking about his mother-in-law of something? *runs*

Es que al principio me tardé en acostumbrar al cambio de idioma y el acento me pareció algo raro de seguir, entonces escuché mal. xD; Tienes razón. xP

and need be, try www.tv-links.co.uk for streaming
or nbc.com if you don't mind commercials.
not the best quality but they work. and yes, i agree on the spanish subtitles needing vast improvement in the looks department.

NBC only works in America.
