Inquiries
1. Let's say someone in Europe buys an item on an online store located in Hong Kong. Since she doesn't mind the wait and her budget is TIGHT, she picks the cheapest shipping option, the one without tracking and insurance. Five months pass, and the fucking thing doesn't arrive, so it's safe to say it got lost somewhere. Again, she's not 100% sure because duh, no tracking. She really, really wants to own this item, by the way. Should she...?
a) Wait some more, just in the unlikely case it happens to arrive. (if chosen, say how long would YOU wait for it)
b) Just buy it again as soon as she can financially take that luxury again.
c) Just give up already. Paying twice for the same thing? Pfffft, idiot.
2. Is it true that VLC can play ANY DVD on your computer, no matter the region or if it's NTSC/PAL? Because I can think of a couple of stuff that I can only find in NTSC...

Wre you already charged for the item? If it's on your credit card you can probably call up the credit card company and say you never received it and then order it again?

The thing is, they pretty much wash their hands as soon as the products leave their business. According to the TOS:
Any dates quoted by Seller for the delivery of Product(s) are estimates only and shall not form part of the contract. Seller aims to deliver promptly, however delays are occasionally inevitable due to unforeseen factors. Seller shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to deliver the Product(s) within the estimated delivery time.
I understand from above that I can't complain to them because it's not their fault? Or am I missing something?

Or you could contact the seller to confirm if they actually did deliver it.
Although I am not sure if either of these things would work.

The store emailed me the day it was shipped out.

I guess if it was something you really want then just order it again once you have enough money. Although it does suck to have to pay for it again.

Five months is way too much - I think it doesn't cover 'failure to deliver' the item (it says failure to deliver within the estimated delivery time). I'd complain, there's nothing to lose anyway :/

But in a month, when it's passed half a year, I might consider talking to them again :/ If it's no-go, then I'll probably buy it again...

There was this other time a long time ago in which a videogame arrived like 6-9 months after they shipped it to me, but it was just that time.
Otherwise, I don't know what I'd recommend. You could wait a little more and if it still doesn't arrive, think about how much you want the thing and order it again when you have the money? That's probably what I'd do, though I don't how long I'd wait...
And 2. I'd say the region thing depends on your DVD player, rather than the program you use? I always thought it didn't matter whether you used VLC or whatever, you needed either to download a region-killer program OR fix your DVD hardware so it plays all regions. I think. But alas, I don't use VLC, so I can't really say.
I use Power DVD combined with DVD Region Killer and it works for me.

where did you get it from? e-mail the store and yell at them. in english. i think 80% they'll send it again.
or i'll do it, if they have an actual store and i have the free time.
