post-Christmas and recs! ...sorta
About Christmas, I've been at my mom's until yesterday. I've rambled about the JOYS of having two computers for four persons before, so I won't dwell a lot about it. Let's just say my mom got recently addicted to Flickr communities/groups/whatever, and she keeps posting images of the cat like the middle-aged lady who can't do her gardening hobby on winter she is. In case you're curious to see our bastard of a kitty, here is the album.
The navidad was so-so. Better than some years, though.
I'm really glad my Yuletide recipient liked my story :D I even got three more reviews, which is more than I expected. It's a good thing people enjoyed it even if it's a bit stupid in premise. As for me, my Santa defaulted but three pinch hitters/treaters wrote for me ^___^ Meeting the In-laws is a fluffy, adorable Erii/Kotobuki fic. Both A Confusing Matter and Alpha Pavonis are introspective Kujaku gen, and so bittersweet and great on their own account. The first one is about his reflections on love, by comparing the kinds he has seen in other people and canon relationships. The second one is four ficlets in one exploring things like his past and his role/existence. I loved them both equally.
So I got a pretty good deal :D It's ironic I got so much CLAMP, but I can't tell why yet. A part of me was a bit sad because my plans of an Okami explosion at Yuletide were thwarted by luck. However! I felt loads better when I discovered that the one fic it was written was so fucking awesome. No, really, it is fucking awesome. It has several legends and myths, comedy, drama, tragic romance, music, very in-game original characters, an imp in incognito, Amaterasu pwning, Ushiwaka being the dork he is. The whole lot, bitches. Land of One Hundred Stories, folks, go read it now. Quality > quantity.
Now to read the posts of yours I skipped, and to reply to an RP log.

I used to be like that (fast Internet connection? a LUXURY), but Spain spoiled me rotten ;_; I think I wouldn't be able to survive the deprivation of one single computer if I were to return to Latin America. Trufax.

And now I feel bad because I'm middle class and really shouldn't complain. D: I might even get a laptop in a couple of months... it's just that I'm too aware that I'm spoiled and this is not the norm here.
