1. If "video killed the radio star", did Internet kill the MTV star? Why asking for music videos when you can just search on Youtube (and download it)?

2. I think Elite Beat Agents ruined Freddie Mercury's (or was it the whole Queen? can't recall) "I was born to love you" for me. Now every time I hear it, I'm all "ajndbfbsb retarded DaVinci/Gioconda shoujo AU badfic". It's that BAD. You don't want to know what they did to DaVinci -hell, I don't even want to call that thing DaVinci.

3. Funny enough, EBA did make Destiny's Child's "Survivor" better for me by association. Taking care of zombie mutant things by allergy to nuts? EPIC STUFF XD If such a FPS game was ever made based on that guy, I'd so play it. And I don't even like the genre!

4. But see, somehow the trainwreck of 2 reminded me that the next Ouran chapter should be out soon, and oh my it already was! ♥ Like always, at this forum. The Haruhi raburabu abuse continues, and I'm LOL'ing so, so, so, so hard at her fever dorkiness! Tanuki what? Shoujo manga what? Having his babies what?! XDDDDDDD She's so cute when WTF.

Tamaki was so incredible adorable ♥ No wonder she could understand how the fuck she fell for him. No, really, I'm liking the way the canon is going, it's so cute and I ship it hard.

1) Well MTV sucks now regardless of youtube. They play more reality crap than music videos. But good point, a music station isn't even needed now. You don't have to wait for your favorite music video to come on since you can watch it whenever. Of course I am not interested in any new music really to watch music videos.


I am glad Tamaki and Haruhi canon is working out in the manga. I want to read it but then I know I can't get into a new long manga.

I think the international versions of MTV are more music-oriented than the original MTV. Still, there's only like half music programs in MTV and VH1 Spain and half reality shows/celebrity shows, so it's spreading.

But I was thinking of the kind of show (no matter if it's on MTV or any other "music" channel) where you ask for clips and if you're lucky they broadcast it, just like radios used to do. Between youtube and podcasts, both radio and TV are screwed.

I actually search for music videos sometimes at youtube. But it's mostly when I don't have the CD/mp3s and feel like listening to a particular song. I don't do that often with new songs since it's so easy to get seeds for the whole record.

True story. I went to my cousin Emma once (born 91-1992..ish) and flippantly said to her: "You know what MTV stands for?" She looked at me a bit like what I was about to say was a trick. "I think so..." she replied. "Music Television."

"Oh, I knew that," she said.
"Yup, and all they used to play was music videos. All the time."
"Really?"
"You know what VH1 stands for? You know what they used to play all the time?"

Yeah, no one needs MTV anymore. Good riddance.

It's really sad D: When I went to the States a couple of times on vacations, I boggled at American MTV and the lack of music whatsoever. Now it's just a teen/young adult channel with stupid shows and that's it. I think International music channels are way more music oriented, luckily.
