LJ fails me again

Using LJSeek to look for fanworks about semipopular pairings in relatively large fandoms by just searching for their names is proved to be unsuccessful these days.

Why, you ask? All I get are roleplay results. No, see, I want fic and fanart of them, not random threads in RP games I don't want to get into, and sometimes aren't even that shippy or it's just another random character sending one of them a PM or it's a goddamn "dressing room" thing (nothing wrong with DRs, but I like to read something more substantial).

...I guess I should make my query something like "A/B fanfic fanart". I really didn't want to after the trauma of googling (where half the results were people bashing it or squeeing over it at their blogs or boards) because I'm just sure it can't be that different on LJ. I mean, those were the kind of hits I got at LJSeek besides the RPs. Lame.

***********

Either way, remember when I explained my fandom definitions? I thought of a new one while roleplaying Klavier.

Pull a Rondart:

It's what happens when I should know the pretty, elegant guy with glasses I'm drooling over is the Local Mastermind of Evil. And yet, I don't realize it until the main character confronts him. I never know if I'm slow on the uptake or it's my Pavlovian reaction to the eyecandy what makes me blind to the BLATANT OBVIOUS. It hurts even deeper when he's the local evil in TWO OR MORE arcs because they're just rubbing salt in my wounds. (Incidentally, I'm not into Teh Ebol or wannabe-evil villains.)

Named after evil boy scout Kyle Rondart from Tsubasa RESERVoiR CHRoNiCLE.

Reverse Rondart:

When the pretty guy with glasses looks like he's evil or at least downright cruel, but in the end he happens to be quite a nice person if you ignore a couple of quirks.

Handbook definition of Reverse Rondart? Eriol Hiiragizawa ♥ Kyouya from Ouran is a minor-scaled example as well. And what about Van Hohenheim?

Also, I suddenly have a crossover crack pairing based on this! :D

Ugly shit cropped in GIMP at lab hours is ugly.

I SHIP IT. KRISTOPH/KYLE. EVEN IF IT MAKES NO SENSE. It would be hella pretty, so. Yeah XD

Lj seek pretty much suck to find anything anyway. There's no good way to search LJ as far as I know :(

It kind of worked for me like, one or two years ago. But only with recent things, since stuff from years ago wouldn't pop in at all.

I say Hohenheim counts. He goes from "bad parent with really creepy connections" to "AWWWW POOR GUY I WANNA HUG HIM AND FEED HIM SOUP". So, yeah.

[random]For the record, "feed him soup" = old HP fandom slang for when you really like a character platonically and s/he makes you want to take away the angst. Usually said about Remus.[/random]

I want Hoho to be my very kooky uncle who randomly appears like once every 5-10 years and is all "...is it really been that long? o_o" I swear I do XD
