Boring layout is boring:

Any opinions on it?

The anime screening was pretty neat yesterday. There were these contests in which they asked for volunteers with knowledge about Dragon Ball, and then they'd make them imitate attacks (i.e, the fusion dance thing -in pairs, obviously- and the kame hame ha). It was hilarious! About the anime itself:

- Grave of the Fireflies (...I want to unwatch this movie, seriously. I felt more unsettled than sad in the end. I did have teary eyes, though. But still, never watching it again!)
- Lucky Star #1 (kinda lame, but still funnier than Ichigo Whatsitsname)
- a random episode of BoBoBo (this one. I LOL'd)
- Darker than Black #1 (um, I had good expectations for this one, but that first episode is more confusing than appealing. I can't be bothered to find out more about main characters that don't appear that much in the first installment, sorry)
- Macross Frontier #1 (I spaced out at the space battle scenes; ah, sci-fi, you never grab me. The non-battle scenes... were pretty gay. The main character was like Kanda from DGM had a lovechild with a random Gundam protagonist)
- Ranma 1/2 #1 (we all know that one. pretty much like the manga beginning)
- Bola de Dan [Honou no Toukyuu-ji o Dodge Danpei] #1 (.....that so didn't improve my thoughts on old-school sports anime. also, most cheesy WTF attempt to backstory for a sports anime ever. also, DODGEBALL. might be a classic in Spain, but geez, it would've bored me to death in my childhood)

Very pretty! Not boring at all.

Thanks ^^

I agree, really pretty! I love the red + purple/grey combination :)

To be honest, I haven't watched GotF in forever. That film hurts my soul. I liked Lucky Star, it was fun and incredibly random, nevermind the loli look. Maybe I just like series where virtually nothing happens.

OMG BOLA DE DAN. HAHAHAHA. I was such a nut of this series when I was a kid, apparently I've always been attracted to sports series for some reason, lol. I even had some cards collection or whatever they used to sell in shops. OH HOW SAD. I even recall it as incredibly lame, so I really have no excuse.

Thanks :D But it's still so simple to me :/

GotF was just... so the kind of film I avoid in live-action. I just don't feel comfortable watching crude, realistic drama/tragedy, and it's even worse to consider the poor little girl existed. Ugh. Well done movie, it IS good, but I couldn't stand it.

Lucky Star... I actually watched the whole anime, and it's kind of hit-and-miss. Some episodes are fun, some are random and meh. Episode 1 is just not one of the good ones IMO. Still, I think Azuma Kiyohiko spoiled me rotten to the slice-of-life-comedy forever, between Azumanga and Yotsubato.

I just can't get into anything sports, so even if they had brought it to Latin America like Captain Tsubasa I would've stayed the shit away from it XD But I suppose that it must be lots of fun for a young kid and that's why people enjoyed it (nostalgia for their childhoods). Meanwhile, I was all "...did they just beat the crap out of these adult bullies and their dog -literally- with DODGEBALLS?! wait, there's a ~magical dodgeball~ from his dad beneath his tombstone whut?" It was just so batshit.

Eh, pero igual saber el Photoshop no significa que se te irá la envidia. Yo miro este layout y se me hace tan soso y me odio un poco a mí misma porque no me salen tan bonitos como la gente que diseña mejor que yo -o-

More like highlighting the red, I just lowlighted (...made-up word FTW?) the background colors XD Thanks~

I think the layout looks nice. My only suggestion would be to space out the navigation links a bit more since they seem really close together to me.

Oh my god, Grave of the Fireflies is so freaking sad. And for some masochistic reason, I've watched it at least three times in my life.

Thanks for the sugestion! I'm a little lenient to give them more spacing though, because most of my navigations in layouts end up stretching up on Linux when using the default serif/sans-serif fonts, and they end up breaking the whole thing.

I really like Darker than Black, but the pace of the series drives most people nuts. Also, each episode is two parts long, so only watching episode one probably would leave most people in the dark. They just throw you into the world with a brief voice over from Misaki that doesn't tell you much, and some things were never explained until the end of the series.

I do love Hei though.

I don't doubt the series is good, but to be honest-- they did a pretty lousy job at selling the show on that first episode. It's okay to be a little mysterious, but the problem is they're being too mysterious for me to be intrigued. I couldn't even make a clear impression of Hei because he spent almost all of the show in a normal-person-srsly-I'm-so-normal façade and perhaps never showed his true personality or why he was helping the ex-scientific lady at all. He didn't even interact directly with the rest of the main cast. It all seemed like this long teaser trailer instead of an episode, and at the end I didn't give a damn about the world besides "huh, good animation". And if the horrible pacing goes on, I honestly can't be bothered to watch it just to get intrigued at what, the middle of the show?
