(no subject)

Lost? See this.

I. The Magician: Roy
Eloquent and charismatic; both verbally and in writing, clever, witty, inventive and persuasive. People listen and agree with him. Interest in science. Someone with a magnetic personality, who can convince people of almost anything.

II. The High Priestess: Izumi
A spiritual woman, a teacher of archaic knowledge, or just a reclusive relative who knows a lot of family secrets. Repository of obscure knowledge, a walking library with uncanny instincts and insights. She may, as well, come across as cold, unpredictable, even scary.

III. The Empress: Trisha
The Empress is a creator, be it creation of life, of romance, of art or business. She's Mother. Generally, Mother in a good sense. Patient, loving, giving, generous.

IV. The Emperor: 'Father', King Bradley/Wrath
The leader that everyone wants to follow, sitting on a throne that indicates the solid foundation of an Empire he created, loves and rules with intelligence and enthusiasm. But that throne can also be a trap, a responsibility that has the Emperor feeling restless, bored and discontent. Unfortunately, like a baby he can also be a tyrant.

V. The Hierophant: Scar
The Hierophant's purpose is to bring the spiritual down to Earth. His only problem is that he can be stubborn and hidebound. At his best, he is wise and soothing; at his worst, he is an unbending traditionalist.

VI. The Lovers: Roy & Riza
Finding something or someone who is so much a part of yourself, so perfectly attuned to you and you to them, that you cannot, dare not resist. They will know instinctively that they must have this, even if it means diverging from their chosen path. No matter the difficulties, without it they will never be complete.

VII. The Chariot: Winry
All about motion, yet it's often stationary. Control is required over opposing emotions, wants, needs, people, circumstances; bring them together and give them a single direction, your direction. Confidence and motivation. A trip, a vehicle - in the shop for repairs if reversed - or a message.

VIII. Strength: Alex Louis, Riza, Lan Fan
Courage and energy. It represents both the Lion's hot, roaring energy, and the Maiden's steadfast will. The innocent Maiden is unafraid, undaunted, and indomitable. Either way, she proves that inner strength is more powerful than raw physical strength. It is a card about anger and impulse management, about creative answers, leadership and maintaining one's personal honor. It can also stand for a steadfast friend.

IX. The Hermit: Mei Chan
It's a time to think, organize, ruminate, take stock. There may be feelings of frustration and discontent during this time of withdrawal. But such times lead to enlightenment, illumination, clarity.

X. Wheel of Fortune: Jean
Chance. Blind fate. A situation over which you have no control. It can mean movement, change and evolution, but its primary meaning always seems to say that such changes will seem to come out of the blue.

XI. Justice: Edward
Balancing the wrongs of the past and setting them correct. Just as in the laws of karma there is a cause and effect to each and every action that we do. The message is to do what's necessary, no matter how hard, how disagreeable, in order to gain, or re-gain equilibrium.

XII. The Hanged Man: Greed, the Door of Truth
Time of insight, moments of suspension between physical and mystical worlds. Sometimes you need to sacrifice cherished positions, open yourself to other truths, other perspectives in order to find solutions, in order to bring about change.

XIII. Death: Brothers at the tomb
Death is just a natural and important, if sad part of an on-going cycle. We can only appreciate what we have when we know that there is loss. This is a time of change. Time for something to end; but time also for something new to begin.

XIV. Temperance: Alphonse
Higher knowledge that is acquired through introspection as the will to learn and understand can cause within us great doubt, but by following truth, we can select a path that leads us to the wisdom we so desire. There is another angle to the card, that of merging seemingly impossible opposites.

XV. The Devil: Envy
Hatred, violence, destruction. Turmoil, fatality, bad luck. Willing bondage. Pettiness, weakness. Blindness, jealousy, illness. Evil fate. Wrong choices. Disaster for one that benefits another.

XVI. The Tower: Elrics' house burning
It sometimes takes destruction to see a truth that one refuses to see. Or to bring down beliefs that are so well constructed. What's most important to remember is that the tearing down of this structure, however painful, makes room for something new to be built.

XVII. The Star: Ling Yao
A card that looks to the future. It does not predict any immediate or powerful change, but it does predict hope and healing. This card suggests clarity of vision, spiritual insight. And, most importantly, that unexpected help will be coming, with a guiding light to the future.

XVIII. The Moon: Lust
It warns that there might be hidden enemies, tricks and falsehoods. Great creativity, powerful magic, primal feelings and intuition. May be going through a time of emotional and mental trial.

XIX. The Sun: Maes
This is the light that comes after the long dark night. Glory, gain, triumph, pleasure, truth, success. Intellect, clarity of mind, and feelings of youthful energy. Giver of life.

XX. Judgement: The Truth
Rebirth, resurection, transformation, renewal, change. There are wounds from the past that we never let heal, sins we've committed that we refuse to forgive, bad habits we haven't the courage to lose. Face these, recognize that the past is past, and put them to rest, absolutely and irrevocably.

XXI. The World: The island
It represents a successful conclusion, all aspects accounted for and taken in. A person who owns nothing, because everything is theirs. No place is their home because every place is their home. It's all one, all complete.

0. The Fool: Gluttony
For the Fool, the most important thing is to just go out and enjoy the world. To see what there is to see and delight in all of it. Unfortunately, in this childlike state the person is likely to be overly optimistic or naive.

I got into a discussion last night with someone who made another Tarot set. That's why I felt I should explain my choices, just in case somebody asks "but why X as Y? I don't get it." It can save time and comments.

Ooooh. Interesting. I really like the way you chose the characters.

Might take some when I get bored of my current icons.
