I'm on episode 4. I wanted something sweet to compensate yesterday's kick in the nuts. I think I'll finish season one over the weekend since it's short. Man, I missed this kind of paranormal stuff so damn much ever since XXXHOLiC schedule became so... slow. This series is just what I needed for my fix ♥

I honestly need crossovers with this shit. And not only for my crack pairing. I want Nyanko-sensei interacting with CLAMP characters so badly. Please stop me from apping him at Mansión, please.

From what I understand the anime follows the manga closely but the last episode is anime only I think.

Watch? WATCH? No, read. The animation for every XXXHOLiC piece of animation is just squicky and weird. I'd totally recommend the manga to you, but recently they're tying the plot in too much with Tsubasa's, and I know you're not going to like TRC. But the main character is also an orphan who attracts bad spirits and there's a lot of mythological creatures going around, hence my comparison and wish to crossover this.

I actually downloaded it when you uploaded it, but I'm waiting until I check the manga out after the anime.

Well maybe I will read XXXHolic when it is finished then. Do you think that is anytime soon? I don't like starting unfinished long manga. I've seen a lot of people compare Natsume to XXXHolic (and I think that comparison makes a lot more sense then Mushishi). In fact many people said their last episodes are similar as well.

Ah cool! Just to let you know this manga is not related to Natsume Yuujinchou. It's just by the same author and a similar type of story. :)

...I don't think it's gonna end too soon. They're taking a lot of hiatus because they're planning those two manga together and there's a lot of overlap. But even like that, I get the feeling you wouldn't understand it without Tsubasa, except for loose arcs. I could direct you to them and skip the CLAMP-much parts when it's over, perhaps?

Yup, but I want to read them all together anyway.

(oh, and the art might help when it comes to comparing them because at least the color manga images feel quite similar to HOLiC)

Mmmmm, it's hard to say. Maybe the really short ones. There might be some arcs where you'd have to know the basics about the main-ish characters, I suppose.

Oh, and two one-shot arcs you may like and you can read regardless are what are tagged as chapters 36, 48, 64 at One Manga. And something Natsume-ish that needs no backstory except for chapter 36 could be the short arc from 61 to 63.
