Trapped in a maze of relationships

Yay, welcome to all the new people from the Tales Of and Ace Attorney memes! It's nice to meet you guys. I'm horribly shy when it comes to comment, so I'll do my best. Same with all the LJ-friends that have been here for some time. Sorry I've been sucking.

Quickly, some points I've been meaning to mention.

1. I finished Hotel Dusk. The plot was all right, perhaps a bit exposition dump by the end, but what I liked the most was doing silly stuff with the stylus. Apparently there are more than one ending, so I suppose I'll slowly replay it some more.

2. I bought Persona 4. Like, legally. I still have no idea why, since it drives me to stress just by thinking about it -because I utterly suck at turn-based AND sims, plus I cannot deal well with free will games. Maybe the fact a) it was brought in English and therefore Spaniard gamers were whining about it, b) I do like the plot, c) bonus soundtrack CD, d) REALLY cheap for a month-old game. Furthermore, when I paid it, the clerk told me I could have a discount of 6€ from my accumulated points on the member card. Fuck yeah, a brand new game with a bonus for 24 bucks!

I might still play the undub pirate version from time to time, however. I mean, Paku Romi as Naoto = win. And Teddie/Kuma sounds sillier.

3. Oh, and FINALLY, I got the final volume of the Mushishi manga ♥ Haven't read it yet, but I'm happy to finish a collection for a series I love so much. It totally is the highlight of my week.

ETA: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH SAVE FILES FOR NSTC ARE DIFFERENT. HAVE TO START ALL OVER FROM THE BEGINNING. AAAAAAAAAAAAA.

Lucky we are only getting Volume 7 this month. Slow American releases are slow (but at least Mushishi is not a super long release like some other series).

I know, the pacing with American publishers is awful. I've been meaning to write summaries of the non-anime stories so people could check the raws (mangahelpers have them, IIRC) and know what's going on, but I'm so lazy lately I surprise myself when I manage to do anything at all.

I'll do your tags tomorrow because I completely forgot D: And sorry I was kind of whiny at you yesterday, I've felt overemotional the past few days.

I just checked and volume 8 is not coming out until Feb so I probably won't have vol 10 until 2011. D:

Don't worry about it, I did want to try to choose ones you would be interested in doing.

............OUCH. We're indeed lucky we go by monthly and bimonthly manga releases, even though it sucks our wallet like a leech. Which is another reason I'm happy, because it's one less series to buy.

Yeah only the popular shounen jump series get fast releases. Unfortunately I don't really collect those so all the titles I collect take forever which I why I now try to only collect series that are finished in Japan (FMA being the exception because it's FMA).

Shounen (and shoujo) are always fast or otherwise no one could keep up with the published volumes when it's in a weekly magazine. And it sells more, sadly. I saw that they were on the twenty-something'th volume of Bleach here and was in awe. But strange little series or stuff that has a different periodicity (like FMA) are gonna take a long time since the licenses are bought on volume batches.

I never thought I'd say something like this, but... I. Actually enjoy P4's dub a lot more than the original version. :(

Teddie is cuter in Japanese, yeah... and Yukiko too, kind of. B-But everyone else is so good, and the dialogues are so amazingly witty. :(d

The dialogs are really neat, which is one of the reasons why I keep up with it even though the gameplay eludes me.

I had heard that some voice choices are weird (Chie sounding too old, etc.), but I've played up to Yukiko's castle with the dub and I'm digging all voices so far, especially Yousuke's. They fit, or at least the ones I've heard so far.

A bit on the short side, but it's pretty good. Also, makes a nice distraction while a new Ace Attorney game comes out, even though it's not quite the same thing. (It's still detective work with some interrogating so I'd say it's similar.)
