Reach out for the truth

There's... not much to tell. I've been mostly playing Persona for 4 the last past days. Watched the normal ending, now I'm close to the true ending. I've also been replaying Okami again.

Oh, and I got Chrono Trigger today in the mail ♥ Awwww the sprites!

.............Fu, I knew you were going to kick it in this battle ;__; But old man, you were splendidly badass.

Can I say again how much I love Ling? Because I fucking do. It's naive, true, but I love how much he cares.

OMG THIS IS IT. THIS IS IT.

I've been thinking. You know how everyone is WTFing because Roy wasn't used to open the door. I don't know because I can't check my manga volumes at my mom's, but perhaps it's because he was just a candidate to sacrifice. Are Ed and Al called 'candidates to sacrifice' or 'sacrifice'? But either way, the fact that the Elric brothers and Izumi were the ones transmuted might be a clue. What they have in common is that they all did human transmutation and saw the Truth. Roy never did that. Perhaps that's what makes the difference between being a candidate and a sacrifice?

NEXT MONTH. 100TH WILL BE AMAZING.

Both Roy and Marcoh are called "potential sacrifices" whereas Ed, Izumi and Al (after getting his memory back) are called just "sacrifices" by Father/the homunculi. I've always assumed the reason was Ed, Al and Izumi had all already opened/saw the Door/Truth-kun, but Roy and Marcoh, while having the alchemic knowledge to do so, hadn't. Bradley once told Father he would make Roy open the Door (and thus make him a sacrifice), but I suppose he didn't have the time in the end, lol.

Anyway, as far as I know, 5 sacrifices are needed. We have those three, plus Hohenheim - who's been hinted to be a sacrifice too. So one is left. Yikes.

Okay, thanks for the confirmation ♥

So I suppose 5 sacrifices are needed to make the Philosopher's Stone with the whole country as human prime source, but with any amount of sacrifices you can open the Door. Besides, does Old Creepy Guy know that Izumi and Al were in the city? Perhaps he just tried to send Ed ahead since he was already there, while maybe hoping Roy would attempt a human transmutation on himself to save the kid, making him the last viable sacrifice.

Either way, shit is getting dangerous D:
