Noooo, no my English teacups!

Note to self: when reading shoujo manga/manhwa, and you find yourself thinking that all the potential love interests are creepy assholes who irritate you, especially the one the main character obviously ends up falling for? Just... forget that shit and move on. It most definitely will get more annoying with time, unless it's explicitly a comedy.

I'm so picky for shoujo and shounen, really.

Also, is there more good non-conventional shoujo where a heroine (or hero, if shounen-ai) with a strong will and personality doesn't turn to a weepy "omg mah wub is everything!1!" idiot as soon as she hooks up with the guy (or girl, if yuri), and keeps most of her original traits? Any recs, guys?

Okay, so there's a flash demo for The Edgeworth and Gumshoe Show Ace Attorney Investigations. So far it's not as funny as the Defense games (needs even moar sarcasm, Edgey) but then again it's only the first few minutes of the game we have here. The gameplay looks cool and challenging, though. I doubt I'll buy this but I will play the shit out of its ROM.

Speaking of things this game needs moar: Ema Skye. I was looking at some official art.
- Age and height. 18 years old, 154cm. Girl, no wonder you're using those heels as an adult |D You grew well so fine, but didn't really grow up that high.
- Sketches. Behold hair down and no hat and long trousers, and ponytail in some other. So pretty!

Like I mentioned above when someone recced it before, it... doesn't seem like the kind of shoujo I enjoy to read. I like more escapism or quirky.

Can't read Ooku, sob. It's not licensed here and there are no scanlations.

Oh, someone already recced it? I fail, I thought I'd looked through them all. XD;

I'm usually uninterested in day-to-day life type manga - I could never get into those josei manga like Honey and Clover either. I don't think I'd really classify Skip Beat into the slice-of-life category, or at least, it's a really bizarre slice-of-life if it is. (Also there are supernatural elements in it.) Might not be your thing anyway, but it def. falls into the "quirky" category (and Kyoko is a complete and utter lunatic).

Oh, damn, that is tragic about Ooku. D: I don't understand why no one's scanlating it, considering how much of her stuff gets scanlated. Probably because it's not all about dudes doing it, grumble.

No problem, it happens ♥

Probably I should still check it out anyway. To be honest the summary in manga reading pages was a turn-off, but there must be a reason why so many of you liked it. Oh, and I've -weirdly enough- read slice of life series when the setting/plot is strange (like Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou or Aria, or if we go for video games Persona 4). It's just when it's only 'people hanging out with friends and developing love polygons' that bores me. Yet I love to read/write that in fanfiction, WTF self.

It's really sad, yeah D: Not even the first chapters or anything. I've seen raws but I doubt I could understand this kind of manga without reading the texts.
