Tiny grammar question for English-speaking natives, since I'm now confusing my mom. Is it correct to say "So beautiful eyes!"? To me it sounds awkward and I'd use 'such' of 'what' instead of 'so', but I'm not really sure if that's actually wrong. Alright, got it. Thanks, guys! ♥

Coincidentally, this confusion between "so beautiful" and "such beautiful eyes" reminds me of my Russian class last week, since we were discussing when так (as in "Так холодно!", or "So cold!") and такой/такая/etc. (as in "Такая холодная погода!", or "Such cold weather!") should be used.

Scar's brother was such a fascinating person, I wish we could find out more about him (or at least his name).

Learning Russian sounds cool! But yup, I was trying to make the distinction between "such cute cat" and "so cute" with my mom this afternoon and she still wasn't quite getting it.

It's really sad that his name comes with the mystery combo that Arakawa has it going for everything else in Scar's past. I doubt we'll get to know it, but crushes of mine apart, it'd be interesting to know what sort of first names Ishvalians tend to have. Would it be existing Middle Eastern-esque to mesh with the Anglo-Germanic ones in Amestris? Or something else?. I think the only one we get to know is the High Priest's.

"So beautiful eyes" would be like saying "Tan bonitos ojos". It sounds odd. The proper way would be "que ojos tan bonitos", "what beautiful eyes", or if you really want to say "so", "tus ojos son tan bonitos" -> "your eyes are so beautiful"

Thanks! Yeah, just what I was telling my mom, but I guess she was confused since she kept seeing things like "so beautiful!", and concluded that "so beautiful cat!" was fair game.

I don't think he's ever stopped! Only this year, I've heard him in the Tales of the Abyss and Sengoku Basara (their anime adaptations, not the video games... he voiced the latter was well, though) and in a really minor role on Soul Eater.
