Ummmm. Apparently I did the 30 days meme wrong and I had to post my favorite song yesterday, which I didn't (I just picked a random one I liked). Today it's supposed to be my favorite movie and... call me weird, but I've never even had a favorite movie. Yeah. So I might quit the meme. I fail.

And I can't see half of my icons O_o Anyway. Random news!

1. The English Ace Attorney artbook was delayed. WELL DUH, IT'S UDON. There's a fucking reason I didn't preorder it, and I don't plan on getting it until I know for sure that people own it. I mistrust those bastards that much.

2. More language wank! The Edgeworth game isn't going to be distributed on Europe by Nintendo, but by Koch Media. And they decided they're not translating the game to other languages. Cue the Spaniards in the fandom hyperventilating and doing... an internet petition -that'll ttly work! Meh, I wasn't planning to buy this one out of spite towards the producer, and I always play these games on emulator first anyway.

The reason why they have so many signatures? They pimped it on Court Records forums and got many non-European folks to sign in support.

3. Muramasa: The Demon Blade is out of stock/print here already. I bought it and got to play around an hour last week, and it's fun to play and pretty and I'm in love with the landscapes. I began with Kisuke and his plot is a bit hard to follow with all the random name-dropping.

4. Oh gods, Okamiden Famitsu scans. I just. Uh. Why does Yomigami have babies?! And what's up with the new brush god! Fuck you, Eshiro, you can't make up new zodiac signs!! If you needed a new bird god, why the need to make it a brush god or looking like one?! And... are they penguins...? What the fuck. There aren't penguins in Japan or even in Hokkaido. As much as I like penguins? LOL NO.

Anda, no sabía nada de lo del juego de Edgeworth o__o. En cierto modo creo que, en este caso, estaría bien que lo tradujesen; más que nada porque ya lo han hecho con el resto de juegos de la saga. Supongo que muchos ni se molestan en traducirlos porque saben que no va a vender y bastante es que nos llegan en inglés, así que no hay queja; pero en este caso me ha sorprendido, porque pensaba que los AA era la típica serie de juegos que más o menos sí venden.

En cualquier caso, tampoco creo que les sirva de mucho la petición online =/.

(Lo de los iconos creo que es porque en LJ están haciendo algo de mantenimiento y han dicho que podría haber problemas).

Es algo bastante reciente. Yo supongo que al cambiar la distribuidora, cambió la lógica de negocio totalmente (y es posible que ellos ni puñetera idea de que siempre se han traído traducidos los AA, o que pasen de todo porque al ser una compañía mierdilla no les salga rentable). Algo decían que parece que la piratería estaba detrás de esto, pero si es verdad es una gilipollez enorme: si no los sacan en castellano, nadie se los va a comprar y más gente los va a piratear. Aparte que no sé, yo pensaba que acá la DS no es taaan pirateada como las consolas de sobremesa o la PSP.

Lo que jode es que como esta serie se creó su fanbase en castellano, y con lo quisquillosos que son con el idioma acá, esto quiere decir que muchos fans no van a comprarlo en huelga. Luego cuando bajen las ventas, pensarán que ya nadie querrá los juegos aquí y sacarán menos cada vez. Yo de hecho compré AJ y T&T nuevecitos y en español porque me imaginé que con el rollo que hubo porque sacaron T&T de último y supertarde, no se los iban a comprar ni dios, y quise amortiguar la venta +1.

Hey, internet petitions can work once in a blue moon. I'm fairly sure that it was strong demand on the Internet that caused XSeed and Rising Star Games to localize Fragile: Sayonara Tsuki no Haikyo, which seemed like the kind of game that would never see release outside of Japan.

That said, I really wish an internet petition could somehow fix what's going on with Okamiden. Seriously, adding penguins to the zodiac? If they're teaching Chibiterasu to slide on his stomach or something like that, why not have one of the brush gods from the first game do so? At least the artwork looks great.

Really? Well, but there's still the fact this is a petition created by Europeans. As many sigs they might collect, the companies tend to think there's not enough market here on principle. Also, apparently Spaniards are the wankiest, pirating-oriented bunch of gamers they've ever met, which is why some companies don't translate to Spanish anymore.

It just. It came out of nowhere! If they need a new technique to teach, they could've made them a regular bird kami or youkai a la sparrow clan, and have a function like Onigiri's dojo. But why white-and-red Brush Gods...?
