At the beginning she didn't seem that nice of a character, but then you get to know her well, and she shines through all the shit that gets thrown at her (and my God, does she get awful shit!). She always hesitates, but in the end she sucks it in and keeps on fighting. And this is the kind of strength we need in female characters! Kicking butts is okay, but she's strong inside when she feels unloved and out of place and sad; she's proud and yet generous, she helps and tries to understand.
But seriously, her take on royalty fucking blows me away. She loves her people so much, and in return they're so loyal because they owe her. It moves me. Mind you, she built hospitals and gave jobs and is a diplomat, and that's while being a princess. The day she becomes the queen, Kimlasca will explode of awesome. And man, does that country need it.
