Ah, I still haven't made a coherent post to say Fullmetal Alchemist good-bye. How about this, for now? I'm sharing some songs that I mentally link to the series. I can't really say it's a fanmix or anything, as I don't really feel like doing a cover or uploading the songs separately. It's something really informal, but the fact I can think of so many and that most of them are positive says a lot.

Bratja - first FMA anime OST
Yeah, well. I'm not into the first anime as much as I used to, but this song is still gorgeous by itself. Plus, it's one of the first ones that comes to my mind regarding the series. More than the openings or endings, even.

Don't stop me now - Queen
The lyrics make no sense or relation whatsoever, but for some reason my mind goes to FMA when it pops in shuffle XD But it's happy and upbeat, and the characters don't stop their missions and we had such a great time. So!

Exo-politics - Muse
This one makes me think about the Promised Day and all the hype around it.

Go West - Pet Shop Boys
The title and happy rhythm feels very Xing-characters to me (both the Ling-tachi and Mei+Xiao Mei, but mostly Ling-tachi and Ling/Lan Fan). Just ignore the part about the west being so peaceful? (fff)

I Just Can't Wait to be King - The Lion King OST
XDDDD There's this in-joke running for years about listening to this song and imagining a little Ling singing as Simba, with Fu as Zazu and a little Lan Fan forced to do the Nala lines. And now you can't unhear!

I Want it All - Queen
If the previous one is Ling, this one is the ultimate Greed 2.0 song. Really.

Panda - Mew
Just for the title, mostly. But you can see some Mei and Al/Mei if you squint well enough!

Reach Out to the Truth - Persona 4 OST
Yeah, seriously! When I'm playing the game I can't tell because the Engrish is incomprehensible, but the lyrics themselves are as FMA as SMT.

Smooth Criminal - Michael Jackson
Now, this is only because Kimbley's suit looks like Jacko's in that scene in Moonwalker. Not a Kimbley fan, but this is one of those cracky things like the Lion King one.

Soldier's Poem - Muse
A little bitterness of the Ishval war and its nonsense of hatred. The balladness of it makes it even more depressing.

Take a Bow - Muse
This one reminds me of Father, especially after the ending.

The Scientist - Coldplay
It's so Ed/Winry's theme I can't even.

The Weight of the World - Editors
This song is so pretty and in some parts Hohenheim-ish. Plus the chorus is very FMA: "Every little piece in your life will add up to one. Every little piece in your life, will it mean something to someone?"

Walk On - U2
Another one in touch with the theme, this more Elric brothers-related but it's practically about anyone.

Window in the Skies - U2
My ULTIMATE Fullmetal Alchemist song. I fucking dare you to listen to it while thinking on the infinite types of love (platonic, familiar, romantic, anything) in this manga and not sobbing like a baby. I cry in public with this even from before we knew when it was ending. I'm crying right now just by listening to it and remembering the ending, and it didn't originally made me cry (physically) ;_;

You've Got a Friend in Me - Toy Story OST
For all the friendships! :D Something cute to wrap it up.
