LOL, trolls

And today, in Fandom Secrets, if you watch children's cartoons you have issues!!1!

I know it's a troll and all, but I'm sure there IS people out there who totally think less of us with childish fandoms. And I ask, who the fuck cares? Just because you're not the target audience it doesn't mean it's not enjoyable! I think everyone can have fun with a cartoon once in a while (or once a week, or once a day...) because there are many kinds of cartoons for all kinds of tastes. Plus, there are many crappy shows for teenagers and adults that are still quite popular, because for the fans it's fun to watch. Same with children's cartoons, good or bad. And not every show is mindless sitcom-esque crack; some can have quite the dark side while still targeted to kids.

And actually, the golden age of Cartoon Network and Nickelodeon actually began during my teen years. It's fun to have nostalgia of those shows and talk about it with folks who were actual children during their original run. It doesn't make that much of a difference, even. I miss the quality in those days. And kodomo anime is also fun! I also watched some Pokémon and Digimon in teen years. Mind you, I'm never regretting the purchase of a boxset with part of the first season of Nintama Rantarou (I WANT MOAR), and I was 27 so whatever. I also catch reruns of Keroro Gunsou (awesomeness) and Crayon Shin-chan (a bit overrated and memetic, though).

Having an active inner child is great. So feed him/her/hir.

P.S.: PLUS, I'VE SEEN IT'S KIND OF CHIC TO WEAR MERCH OF OLD NOSTALGIA CARTOONS. BUT ONLY IF IT'S WESTERN, IF IT'S ANIMU YOU'RE STILL A CHILDISH WEEABOO EWWWW. /pet peeve
P.S.2: RIGHT, I HAVE TO DOWNLOAD MORE OF SYM-BIONIC TITAN.
P.S.3: And I have to watch Toy Story 3 and Tangled and Megamind before December ends!
P.S.4: LAST TIME I READ F!S WHEN PMSing BECAUSE I GET INSPIRED :D

People care a bit too much about what others do for entertainment. Tons of those cartoons have jokes that only adults would understand, or humor that's timeless and has no age limit. And even those who don't... They're still entertainment, and some people watch them merely for fun. Jesus christ, god forbid something on TV is watched for fun!

Funnily enough, after I replied to this last night, I went to dinner. Guess what my bf's brother talked about?

A while ago, I got upset about this. Now I'm watching enough cartoons to tell that, hey, with all those references everywhere? The people making them KNOW adults are gonna watch them.

Haters gonna hate. /goes back to RP an imaginary friend from Cartoon Network lalala

WATCH TANGLED IT IS FUN I haven't watch TS3 yet though *sob*

Good kid's shows also appeal to adults because, yanno, PARENTS WATCH THEM WITH THEIR KIDS. If parents can't stand the show, they're more likely to find one that they can enjoy and steer their kids towards that.

It really can't not be a troll, but lololol I'M A PEDOPHILE GUYS ♥ But seriously, it's been forever since I cared about watching "children's cartoons" while being an adult and whatever the fuck other people think about it. Some of the best movies I've seen this year are animated (Toy Story 3, How to Train Your Dragon, Megamind) and when I see stuff on TV or on DVD with my nephew and niece I'm pretty sure I'm the one enjoying it most! (MY LOVE FOR PHINEAS AND FERB) I'm also the one who notices when they're shit, but oh well (ICE AGE 3 I'M LOOKING AT YOU).

And the moment I'm able to go to the cinema with them I'll go watch the shit out of Tangled! My nephew and niece are always so impressed with my "cartoons" DVD collection/general knowledge lmao.

P.S.: PLUS, I'VE SEEN IT'S KIND OF CHIC TO WEAR MERCH OF OLD NOSTALGIA CARTOONS. BUT ONLY IF IT'S WESTERN, IF IT'S ANIMU YOU'RE STILL A CHILDISH WEEABOO EWWWW. /pet peeve

I KNOW RIGHT? THAT IS SICKENING.

Nevermind that most anime, even if childish, are nowhere near the western equivalent of children's cartoons. Something like Pokemon, where they had to cut out numerous episodes for content not suitable for children, is not at all on the same level of "cartoon" as something like Flapjack or Chowder. This has always bothered me, because anime is not a cartoon.

But yeah. Irk irk irk.

This is also coming from the girl who has reverted to a five year old over How to Train Your Dragon. So it's not like I hate western animation or anything. Most Nickolodeon things are just... stupid these days. Either that or I can't stand the "art"work. >_>;
