I'm sure I didn't eat broth today

First things first. I revamped my domain despite the fact I haven't worked in any sites forever. Mostly because it had been so long with the same layout and most images were broken and that's sad. So here it is, a little dull but at least it's clean and a fairly good practice to some CSS3.

If I ever get less lazier, I'll make the avatar-ish image in the sidebar a random image of fandoms I like. And maybe make skins in different colors. But so far it's enough as it is.

Fandom-wise, I haven't been up to a lot of stuff. I've kind of been really active on plurk but mostly because a lot of friends from the RP are over there. I've been limiting my time on Tumblr because it's a fucking black hole for visual magpies, but I still check the dash and update my blogs at least twice a day.

So, new anime season! I'm only following Natsume Yuujinchou San in all seriousness. And I'm still watching Tiger and Bunny despite of the flaws, because the characters are so engaging. From the new shows, I checked two so far. Mawaru Penguindrum is hella weird and you can fucking tell the Utena director is behind it from any moon of Jupiter. I don't know how I feel about that shit beyond EEEEEEEEEE THE PENGUIN MINIONS EEEEEEE squees, perhaps I'll keep watching because it's so going to be this season's memetic trendy mindfuck show. Which is kind of the reason why I watched Madoka. I also tried No. 6 and I got bored from it. I have no idea what else to try, but then again I should retake some of the stuff I started on previous seasons anyway. Suggestions are welcome, still.

Now some live-action. I finished Pushing Daisies and it was cute and quirky. I also spent some days watching particular episodes of the Ten era of Who that my friends recced me. I have some other series and movies downloaded, mostly comedies or mythology butchery or cartoons, so I have issues deciding what to watch next.

I tried Assassin's Creed 1 while my family was on a trip (home alone as the catsitter FTW) and the 360 controller + too many moves scared the shit out of me. So I ran off to play Okami in my beaten PS2 instead because I'm lame. And I missed it badly. I also have too many stuff in my gaming backlog that I don't retake for some goddamn reason.

ETA: I did buy a HDD in the end. It's a 1TB electric blue WD which I named TARDIS.

The first episode of No.6 didn't do much for me, the second was much more interesting. I'm also watching Kamisama Dolls, Sacred Seven, and Dantalian no Shoka

Oh, I did watch the second episode and I was more annoyed at the secrecy of the plot and meh.

Sacred Seven doesn't seem to be my thing. Not sure about Kamisama Dolls because I'm not very into suspense in anime. The Gainax one seemed interesting from the trailer until suddenly, gothic lolita librarian girl (is this some sort of thing recently, WTF?) killed it for me (plus, I haven't liked anything Gainax in years and I don't trust them). But thanks for the suggestions anyway.

PS: sorry, now that I read my comment again, I sound very grumpy. It's not been my day, and I apologize for sounding so rude.

No worries, I'm fairly specific about what I like too. Last season I didn't watch anything because I couldn't find anything that appealed to me. As for older anime I'm currently watching Durarara and Baccano on a rec from a friend of my daughter's.

Baccano is amazing once you get used to the huge cast and messy timelines. I lost interest in Durarara in the middle of its run and dropped it, though.

I've only seen the first episode of Baccano so far, but I really liked what I did. Durarara I am about halfway through right now and enjoying. It strikes me as the kind of series that is better marathoned then watched as it is released.

It was the other way around for me when I tried Baccano: all those people confused the crap out of me on that first episode, and everyone urged me to try more episodes. I'm glad I retook it because it was so much fun. Durarara I thought it was okay and marathoned half of the series in one sitting, but tiny annoyances and twists I didn't care much for kept building up.

I watched eight episodes of Durarara last night and was really pulled in by it. I'm curious to see how the rest of it plays out. It's quirky and weird which I like. The only thing that really throws me off is the Dullahana. That fact that she speaks without a head as well as the stuff that keeps pouring out of the stump is off putting a bit.

Baccano puts me in mind of a good mystery with all the players being introduced at once and you have to read/watch to find out how they are related.

Your domain's looking pretty nice 8)

I've gotten so many mixed reviews about No.6, well actually, a whole bunch of shows this season. Trying to stick it out in case it turns out to be good.

Thanks! :D

I've seen a couple of people rave about it, but IDGI beyond cute main characters.

I'm not following much this season (still watching too much from last season), just Natsume and Usagi Drop... but UD is probably too slice-of-life-y for you. It's like Yotsubato! but not nearly as good and/or qwirky. Although it's nice so far.

I dropped Mawaru Panguindrum already, I distrust this kind of series lol. And I didn't even try No. 6 because it's BONES and I NEEEVER FORGEEEEET haha.

Also! Your domain looks great! I haven't touched mine in forever, the layout is from 8932 years ago, ugh.

Ps. uhm, I'm not sure about this rec, but what the hell! Have you tried Nichijou? It's the latest KyoAni series based off a (mostly) 4-koma series. It's like a slice-of-life ON CRACK. It's got a plethora of insane characters, ridiculouss random humour and a talking cat. The character designs are perhaps too cutesy (I like them though), but man the whole series has amazing animation/direction (and some trolling).

I don't know, it may not be your thing, but I'm seriously in love with it atm~

I accidentally read some spoilers for the Usagi Drop manga and I seriously don't want to even check it anymore. I'll stick with Yotsuba. I tried Nichijou and I didn't even laugh once or liked anyone in particular (the cat was neat, but I couldn't stand the robot and the professor skits?) so I'm not sure I want to watch further. Sorry about that, but thank you for the recs anyway <3
