Journey into Mystery

It's been a while... ahem.

I think I've been more active in Plurk and Tumblr than here in the journals out of laziness. Plus, this month was a total festival of spammers in almost every post in every LJ community I've ever made, so that really threw me off.

I'll try to be more active. However, I'm going to try to think of the DW mirror as the main one from now on. Because of how gross LJ is (and will be) right now, I'll still crosspost and read my flist because of the comms and few people who aren't on DW; other than that, it's really hard for me to keep thinking about Livejournal as something serious anymore.

Anyway, I'm also:

→ taotrooper @ Tumblr. That's the main one. I also have two fandom-centric blogs:

→→ journey-into-mystery (Thor comics but mostly -obviously- Journey into Mystery)

I got really into the JiM fandom this year, which hangs out mostly at Tumblr. Hell, even the writer got really into the Tumblr JiM fandom and makes our lives miserable out of the pages. It's curious that there are fandoms now where the main thing is happening over there, while there's little to no presence on LJ/DW or AO3/FFnet/dA/Pixiv. Ghost Trick fandom was also like that, a lot of anime series and games and cartoons too. It seems, for obscure stories or little fandoms/subfandoms, it's just easier to hang around the tags and find coherent people there. Meanwhile, the huge fandoms are usually stupider on Tumblr. Just to keep in-topic, the comic!Loki fans (in either reincarnation, although I mostly chilled with the Kid Loki peeps) are most times much cooler than the majority of Hiddleston!Loki fanbrats on Tumblr (which tend to be noisy and sometimes cray-cray.) And you can say that about most fandoms that are big on Tumblr. And then there's the Percy Jackson fandom who isn't that huge but it's just mostly repulsive. So yeah... I think Tumblr fandoms works better, weirdly, with little stuff. I wish this wasn't the case because it's almost impossible to befriend and talk to these people normally in that site.

Anyway, some short reviews of stuff I've read and watched this Autumn.

Okay, so I got my Pottermore mail last night. I'm RainSilver82 in case someone wants to add me there. The important part about this thing is the wand and house, so let's go with that. My wand is cypress, 10 inches, phoenix feather core, slightly springy. Sounds neat. I got sorted to Honey Badger House! I like to think of myself as a Ravenpuff mix TBH, but a good amount of quizzes and LJ sorting comms have seen the Hufflepuff sometimes, so I was well prepared for this result. Recently I've felt that I've lost most of my Puff due to depression and being a selfish lazyass in my adult years, but okay. It's still cool. *insert Hufflepuff gif with that dancing guy with the chicken legs here*

The site itself... I did everything last night and now I don't know what else to do? I absolutely detest potions, only managed to brew 2 out of 5 -I've even lost a cauldron thanks to bottles being glitchy-, and I don't really want to experiment while there aren't means to gain new money. Duels are down right now, so fuck this shit. I feel kinda awful because we're last place, but I doubt 1pt per cooking disaster will help that much.

McGonagall's backstory is awesome. Sad, but awesome to know.

First things first. I revamped my domain despite the fact I haven't worked in any sites forever. Mostly because it had been so long with the same layout and most images were broken and that's sad. So here it is, a little dull but at least it's clean and a fairly good practice to some CSS3.

If I ever get less lazier, I'll make the avatar-ish image in the sidebar a random image of fandoms I like. And maybe make skins in different colors. But so far it's enough as it is.

Fandom-wise, I haven't been up to a lot of stuff. I've kind of been really active on plurk but mostly because a lot of friends from the RP are over there. I've been limiting my time on Tumblr because it's a fucking black hole for visual magpies, but I still check the dash and update my blogs at least twice a day.

ETA: I did buy a HDD in the end. It's a 1TB electric blue WD which I named TARDIS.

So... honestly, I haven't updated this journal lately because I didn't have anything clever to say. I've been wasting time with TV, mostly silly cartoons, and the occasional book. So I'll try to remedy that by doing a short review of stuff I've been following.

But to make things sillier, I'll use ONE SINGLE IMAGE to convey my feelings on every show.
