Seriously, I want to read tons of fic of The Ponds Babies. So adorbs. I love that this denomination also technically includes River, TROLOLOLOL.

Sorry, the whole hilarity/weirdness of Mels and absolutely everything about River in this episode is still sinking in.

In the end, the episode just forgot about Hitler and the Nazis, ahahahaha! They were too busy with Melody chewing the curtains and the Doctor dying and Rory being a badass while trying to suppress the WTF that is his life. Oh, and robot jellyfish antibodies.

Finally, the Doctor tells River "spoilers". Must've felt good, except for the fact he was trying to to prevent his imminent demise... and couldn't.

"There must be someone else in the universe I haven't screwed yet!" <- LOL Ten.

SONIC CANE!

As fun as the foe-yay and River as a villain was, I'm actually really glad that she redeems herself in the end with the power of love meta. And I suppose that Sexy forgave her for shooting her? XD

So yeah, was a good and confusing first date episode, very shippy for both the ships. God, Ponds, your lives!

I wasn't confused? I mean, it WAS twisty and Mels seemed to come out of nowhere at first, but the flashback seemed to soften the effect and remark that yes, this person is batshit enough to steal a sports car and push herself into the group and shoot a gun inside the TARDIS. The people-in-the-robot weren't that hard to figure out either.

Perfect description! I was fascinated by the fact that the Doctor-Rory interaction turned out to be LOL DOCTOR SORRY ABOUT MY EVIL DAUGHTER instead of Rory being a bit disturbed about the snoggings or something. I guess there are more important things going on!

I can just imagine Moffat cackling over the fact that Hitler was just a setting and people were genuinely concerned/theorizing over it XD That was quality trolling. Also, like I mentioned above, Hitler's role was pretty much a Tsuruya in a Nyoro~n joke.

He had the whole summer to come in terms with the fact that the snoggings aren't going to stop! Plus, he's the one in Team TARDIS who knows best the enormous love his girl has for the Doctor, so I wouldn't be surprised if he now secretly approves Eleven as sorta-son-in-law. Meanwhile, direr is the fact that she poisoned him via said snoggings, oops.

Would it have spoiled the mood to cut to Hitler still in the closet at the end of the episode? Probably, but that would've been the perfect end to the Hitler subplot.

Except it was more of a background than a subplot, so I think it's more hilarious that they completely forgot to touch it again.

Plus, after all the noise Melody was doing, someone must've looked for him and opened the cupboard door at some point.
