Looking forward to this

Just because I need to have a list...

- Harry Potter and the Half-bloody Prince (July 16)
- XXXHOLiC movie
- Fullmetal Alchemist movie
- Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNICLE anime
- Kino no Tabi movie
- Star Wars episode III: Revenge of the Sith (May 19)
- The new Zelda videogame for GameCube
- Certain CLAMP no Kiseki issues (*cough*8,9,10*cough*)

Too bad I have to wait for the anime movies to get on DVD to actually get to watch them. And I don't mean I'll buy them... I'll download >3 (although I'm such a fanatic I'd end up looking for a way to get XXXHOLiC on DVD before it gets licensed here.)

Someone should've make a meme out of this, really.

Ooh, and I'm making a list of books/mangas I know they're edited here and I want to find and buy. So I can get organized.

Manga:
XXXHOLiC #4
Fruits Basket #2
Gohou Drug #3 (so expensive! >_<)
X/1999 #2-5, 8-9, 12

Books: (no specific order)
"The Dark Tower" #1 [The Gunslinger], Stephen King (I can't find it, aaaargh)
"Eragon", Christopher Paolini (lo encargo por Círculo)
"A Series of Unfortunate Events" #1 [The Bad Beginning], Lemony Snicket
"The Solitaire Mystery", Jostein Gaarder (guess who killed my brain)
"The Chronicles of Chrestomanci" #1 [Charmed Life], Diana Wynne Jones (guess who else killed my brain)
"The Book of Lost Tales I", J.R.R. Tolkien (aka, the book with a character named Eriol *fangirls*)

As you see, I want to read fantasy. Apparently.

And ooh, I made an icon that matches the layout! XD

"The Solitaire Mystery", Jostein Gaarder...

Let me guess... laurus rambling about it convinced YOU TOO to get it? I couldn't stand it anymore and asked my father (he always gives me books) for it as a christmas present.... the summary at the back says it's something about "the story of a mysterious man and his cards"...CARDS!

Wait! There's a character named Eriol in lost tales? Suddenly my Tolkien fangirl-ism returns....

Waaa! I'm so proud! XD I must say that it's a really good book, though, it's worth it. (But I am glad I had read it many times before CCS. Reading it after CCS is... interesting. O_O)

If it makes you feel better, you two have me looking for FMA...

Really? Bwahahahahahaha! It's pretty. But I suggest watching until 13th or episode 7th to see if you like it. Ignore episode 4....

FMA is a bandwagon of angst. It's got its humorous moments, its fluffy moments, but it's a bit strong. There are deaths and blood and missing limbs like 50% of CLAMP's works

But the characters are complex, and the alchemy principles are interesting. I prefer the manga myself; so far there are only scanlations of it. Check fullmetal-alchemist.com and anime-source.com for it.

The anime is fun as well, but it's on crack. Really. It even has parallel worlds, emphasis in the Damned Door of Truth, and 400 year-old alchemists who are rotting themselves (BTW, I'm more fond of anime!Hohenheim than manga!Hohenheim, who's supposely evil).

Anyway, you'll have to check it to see if you like it. It's mostly a shounen series, so there are battles.

FMA is great just because it is not fluffy ^__^ if you like angst you can miss it. I am also waiting for the movie, just to explain the confusing snimr ending :-/ And about fantasy books, have you ever read any by Marion Zimmer Bradley? She's the author of Mists of Avalon, Black Trillion and the loooong Darkover saga, if not, give her a try, you won't regret.

ouch, 'snimr' was 'anime', one of these days I'll torture my left hand... *sigh*

I'll check that out someday. Thanks ^^

Dewwwwww.-

Yeah, she did that to me. At least the brain-killing is mutual.

Wait! There's a character named Eriol in lost tales? Suddenly my Tolkien fangirl-ism returns....

Yep, there is. This traveller/sailor guy who hangs out with elves or something. I'm not sure what he does as nobody cares about those old, unfinished books in the fandom, so there's no info over the internet.

XD

Wow. Those are the exact things I'm looking forward to next year. Rockin'
