Weeeeeeh

I swear, I close my eyes, and get to see drawn eyes, old Mokona style. But the point is, I finished reading RG Veda yesterday, and Magic Knight Rayearth today.

... yes, I AM crazy.

Wow.

Just wow.

How come the same people who did this amazing story with such a detailed drawing ended up doing something like Tsubasa?! It's insane! I can't believe it; things like that make me understand why people says they're getting worse with the years. This level of brain-breaking is just... I hadn't experience something like this since the older days I was reading X and TB spoilers. I don't think they'll ever get to do something as complex as this again until they finish Tsubasa, that is.

Oh man. I missed the tragic Angst and the impending Doom so much!

Let's see. I didn't really care about Ashura, Yasha, Ashura-ou, Taishakuten... you know, I'm a sucker for smaller characters. I loved the rest of the six stars, though. Yes, even Kendappa-oh, who was so dual and did such a terrible thing (yet pretty! I think she's one of the most pretty CLAMP female I've seen.) Souma was so cool. Karura-oh rocked so much (I want a bird like that!). Ryu-oh was such a funny boy. I was really crushed when they were killed. And wow, Souma/Kendappa's deaths were so tragic! Somehow, I was thinking about Seishirou and Subaru in the Rainbow Bridge the whole time. Dammit, no wonder they became my OTP in RGV. I'm a masochistic.

I knew he was going to be my favorite waaaay before I read the manga. But I never knew he'd be so cute and awesome! Oh, Kujaku! How I love you! He was the best thing about the manga. But I wonder, WHYYYYY! Why, Kujaku, did you have to do that at the eeeeeeend! That's so unfair ;_; Baka!

Oh, and after Kujaku, I also liked Tenou soooo much! He's adorable! And so bloody normal for that kind of manga, I must say. Yep.

Magic Knight Rayearth. I loved it, too! The manga is waaaay better than the anime. I liked the fact certain character who I really liked and died in the anime was always alive in the manga. So no need to fill the character up with a substitute.

I also liked the fact there was no Evil Sue OC. That way, the story is clearer and easier. There was no real need for that in anime.

And Guru Clef? Still my favorite character ♥

I'm surprised that apart from the obvious canon couples (Zagato/Emeraulde, Ferio/Fuu), the other "ships" I heard a lot about were absent. I don't know if I mixed the fanon and thought it was canon, or it was an anime thing [I didn't watch the second half.] So really, Clef is not a heartrob who has a lot of females drooling over him, lol. This is the last time I trust stupid people posting on boards. And the fact there's not a canon Lantis/anyone is amazing. Again, I'm not hearing fangirls, again.

I'm surprised I've never heard about Lafarga/Caldina before. And the ironic part is, it IS canon! Unbelievable. It was a nice surprise, though.

And see how irony also hits me, because after so many time thinking Clef/Umi were cute, I changed my mind after reading the manga. Dude, Clef/Presea all the way! And here's were I bang my head against the wall, because they're how Eriol/Kaho could be, if Kaho weren't such a cold whore. And, you know, if Clef made some move on her or something.

So yeah, I like the two main canon pairings, but for some reason C/P appeals more to me. Go figure. I'm not trying to seek the logic here.

I'll post memes tomorrow. You can poke the bunny on the mean time.

Que si vamos a eso, XXXHOLiC no le llegará a la suela del zapato a Tokyo Babylon en la temática, y sigo siendo más friki de la primera que la última (con lo que me encanta TB, y mira por donde...)

damnit i want to understand that and can't. Thematic compareasons between TB and XXX-holic is something I crave.

No, I was just saying that, if I am to be honest, Tokyo Babylon is waaay superior in thematic than HOLiC, even though I love XXXHOLiC slightly more. The only thing in common, I'm going to add here, are paranormal issues (and Kimihiro's recent Subaru channelizing.)

It's just that she's a huge TRC fangirl (to the point of working in fansubs and scanlations in Spanish), even though she also adores X and RG Veda.

I wouldn't say it's the only thing in common. Both us paranormal issues to deal with modern, day-to-day, realistic issues. I think the main difference (besides those tied to the characters and their backstories and relationships of course) is that TB centers around communication, otherness and empathy, while XXX-holic is about... something like addictions, balance. In TB one of the main idea is that only people themselves can judge their own happiness or know their own sufferings, in XXX-holic it is that people are to be responsible for what they want. Well... considering how much i've read of xxx-holic at the very least.

Um. Yeah. I was sleepy when I typed my reply, you know... almost 1 am...
