Let's get a sandwich

My back is aching again DDDDDDDDDDD: I have to study, dammit.

But anyway.

a) LOL Wiki.

b) Rurouni Kenshin outtakes ETA: this one is better. Or the voice actors from the English dub goofing around. Hilarious! Watch the whole thing, it's not only mispronouncings of Amakakeru Ryuu no Hirameki.

c) I miss Avatar D:

I'm really, really random these days, am I? I can't even find memes I want to do.

I know, but I'm having horrible withdrawals D: March is so far away...

Do you have Nickelodeon there? I'm surviving by watching the reruns in Nick (the Latin dub is really good!) and getting my cousins and uncle into it...

I do, but I'm too lazy to check the schedules and the Spain dub doesn't impress me. It's quicker to rewatch the AVIs, and I can do that whenever I can.

Yeah, I didn't even think about the AVIS. I only have a few of them, because I watched most of it on Youtube before they took it down...

I don't have them all either, but... *points at a certain joined comm in her userinfo and whistles*

And really, whether the Mexican dub is good or not, it's not like I can watch it. I have to settle with either original audio, which is kickass, or Spaniard, which is average.

Incidentally, my brothers are elitist whores. They refuse to watch the dub anymore. Actually, they just refuse to watch dubs period (if they can watch the original versions).

I'm waiting to get them until I'm back in Buenos Aires, because I'll be leaving this computer in a couple of months...

I really, really don't like Spanish dubs for pretty much anything (except Asterix - I guess I'm used to them). I don't know if they're objectively bad, if they're decent but the Mexican/Venezuelan ones are better, or if I just can't get past the accent D:

I think it's mostly the accent; about the quality, there are good ones and bad ones like everywhere else. It took me months to bear with and get used to the accent. For instance, I still prefer the Mexican dub for The Simpsons all the way although it's not that bad. The Spanish dub of One Piece makes me want to kick puppies. The real-life TV series are well done, though.

The only thing I complain about Spanish dubs in general is when the actors pronounce names and places literally. I DIED when I watched Shrek 2, because they kept saying "es-che-rec" ;_; And it happens a lot in animes, with those mute u's, but I've heard that in Mexican ones too so it's just nitpicking from my part.

Incidentally, most Spanish people can't stand watching Mexican/Venezuelan/Colombian dubs. So that's why I say it's the accent.
